Absolutely. There is no comparison between Witt and Vladdy. Witt is already a far better player and his growth has been on a steep incline. He almost has to come down a bit because it's hard to be much better. I'd lock him up also.

Unless they’re PSA 10 they’re not worth more than the memories you have with them.

You mods should re-allow a politics forum with a promise from everyone to keep it quarantined there. Look, I get it. Back when this site was functional and the team was good, you didn't want politics mucking up the comradery and conversation on the main boards. Now that the site is a spammy mess, the team is aimless and everyone hates on each other as well as the front office, what do you have to lose? Is endless diatribes about woke losers and Trudeau really all that worse than any conversation that has gone on here since May? We're not still going with facade that this board is trying to grow its membership, are we? Not with page-sized popups for Asian sex dating thanks to all the keywords that connor has brought up to this site.

How many young men, who could have been saved with the wise wisdom of Jim Canuck and other intellectuals on the board were lost ? Young men need to be exposed to left wing ideas from real men (not from weirdos with purple hair). Instead of FDR or Bob Rae like father figures (which the board could have provided) all the young men had to turn to was Elon Musk's twitter, a hive of conspiracies and right wing nonsense. Bring back politics so the young men have good people to learn from.

Civil discourse is very difficult these days. I personally don't adhere to a wing. I have my own independent thoughts on each issue, but the tribalism people subscribe to now is weird. Some nutquacks become angry and threatening. I can understand any message board administration not wanting that responsibility. Especially on a pro sports board.

Yeah 80s and 90s sports cards were mass produced to the extreme. Their are still millions of unopened boxes of that stuff. And they didn't do inserts really so none of it is that rare unless you can get a PSA 10 as you said.

I saw someone selling a framed, 1989 O-Pee-Chee hockey sheet that was uncut. Something you'd put on the wall as art. Had the Joe Sakic rookie card in it. They want $600. I thought it was pretty cool and nostalgic. I will say the card industry seems to have made some good decisions to make these unique cards that are super rare. It's created a buzz unlike anything we'd seen in probably 30 years.

Alek Manoah (elbow) has started a throwing program. Manoah underwent Tommy John surgery back in June and is expected to miss a significant portion, if not all, of next season.
