As frustrating as the Blue Jays season has been at least the Yankees season has been infinitely worse with an even higher payroll.

 

Pretty rough year for both New York teams

Yeah of course. Just noting the history, and if it is true that's very stupid on his part to be in this situation again. Last time around he was charged, there was not much doubt that he was in an altercation and shoved the woman to the ground. There were witnesses who stated they saw it. The reason it didn't go further was because the woman didn't want it to and claimed she just fell. He just had to do some counselling.

 

There's going to be less skepticism for him because of the history.

Watching Cole Ragans right now. Dude is sitting 99 from the left side with an unhittable change and a slider and Texas decided he was expendable for a couple months of Aroldis Chapman.

Anyone else surprised at how mediocre a season Urias was having? I just looked his stats up expecting him to be at 3-4 WAR with an ERA around 3

27m career earnings is pretty good, he will be ok. The rage from having a bad season and costing yourself 10s of millions probably is just a phenomenon in baseball that makes these guys want to hit women. It seems to be pitchers who cant control themselves.

 

This incident was 2 days after his terrible start where he was getting boo'd by his home fans.

We traded Jeff Kent for a couple of months of David Cone.

 

No regrets because we won a world series.

 

If they win a world series it will be the same for them.

chapman has also blown 3 saves already for them and is a known playoff choker

 

He's an elite arm and they desperately needed the bullpen help. They couldn't have expected to go on this horrible slide that they are on, it's still hard to imagine that they won't make the postseason, but if they ever did, if they have a healthy enough rotation they will be really dangerous.

Imagine being picked up by a team in an effort to make a last-ditch effort at the division and immediately blowing their entire playoff hopes.

 

It was a long shot anyway but Cleveland needed this sweep and Gio blew it in less than an hour's work.

They aren't as good as Los Angeles or Atlanta but in a short series, they have the pieces to upset a great team.
