Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Who holds the tiebreaker between Seattle and TB? Tampa
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Who holds the tiebreaker between Seattle and TB? Rays iirc
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 That's right Tigers... FINISH THEM!!!
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 4 to 1 Tigers, please hold on
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Brewers win (walkoff single); Phillies still prolly clinching with a win
Masterbather Verified Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Do the Tigers still have that great bullpen or have there been injuries or whatever I haven't been following them.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Do the Tigers still have that great bullpen or have there been injuries or whatever I haven't been following them. No, it's good. Well, Jiminez is hurt, though.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Love the effort, great catch.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Astros about to host two postseason clinches aside their own. Rays clinched last week and Phillies about to clinch. Edit: clinched
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Phillies clinch. So Phillies @ Mets.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 So Phillies @ Mets. Could be Cards if SD plays well. They are 0.5 apart with Padres in the lead (0 - 0 atm against Giants) but if I was Padres, I'd 100% tank lol. Cardinals much easier matchup than Mets (pitching wise)
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 5 walks, 7 hits for the Tigers and we're still in the 5th inning. I've watched a lot of Mariners games recently and this just doesn't look anything like a playoff calibre roster. Wild pitching, lots of defensive miscues, and absolutely horrendous offense. I hope that trend continues.

Agreed - made the play offs because of poorer opponents than their strength
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Ruh-Roh... he was cruising.

Kordesi Verified Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Oh well … not looking great now
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 damn that sucked for Ms; f*** yes.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 That's why I'm concerned they may play themselves right down to the six seed, and there may be some intent to it. It would really suck to have the perfect scenario lined up for a few weeks, only to end up facing the Rays. They are, in my opinion, the best team we could have faced.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 That's why I'm concerned they may play themselves right down to the six seed, and there may be some intent to it. lmfao
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Would rather face the Mariners instead of the Rays at the Rogers Centre.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Would rather face the Mariners instead of the Rays at the Rogers Centre. You don't think the Mariner's are tanking for the matchup do you?
leaffie Verified Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 I too watch a lot of mariner games, and I just thought a few minutes ago, that they certainly didn't play like this when the Jays were in town.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Well guys, Tampa were 3-7 coming into tonight in their last 10, the Mariners 6-4... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 You don't think the Mariner's are tanking for the matchup do you? They aren't tanking, but they certainly aren't putting in their best lineups or best effort. Lots of regulars resting and poor effort in the field.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Can never rule out America’s Team.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Okay. They aren't tanking at the moment because they still have a chance to play at home, but if they lose that chance tonight I could see them resting players and not being too upset about moving down in the standings.
