Doesn't actually compute at all. You can't just be s*** for 5 years and then become really good at nearly 43 years old.

I'm telling ya he's on roids. It's his last year so he thinks he can probably beat the final few tests he gets down the final stretch of his career. On top of it, what are they going to do? Suspend a legend from his remaining half season? Not a chance.

As pulled a NOBLETIGER. Rip.

---

And next inning, stranded a lead-off double.

---

Langelier (solo HR) and Pache (2-Run bomb) - 3-0 As.

Ms no hits through 4.

4-0 now. That lineup has been horrendous lately. I hope it keeps up going into the playoffs.

Robbie Ray, lined up as game 2 starter in the wildcard, gives up 3 home runs and 6 runs to the 102 loss Athletics. Bring him on.

Mariners being no-hit is not a huge surprise. They have good patience and power, but are hitting an almost incomprehensible .214 as a team since August 20th.

They barely even have any guys hitting above a .700 OPS. I think they have 3 total.

One facet where the Jays are elite is quality lineup depth, the only team in their league is the Dodgers. No other team in the AL is really that close. IMO

Yeah great point. Jays on the whole have a better playoff roster than regular season roster seeing as the rotation is top heavy with two aces and a solid mid rotation starter. Berrios is fine for the final starter but with a deep bullpen we can afford to pull anyone who is struggling pretty quickly.

Their lineup is terrible. You'd have to think Manoah and Gausman would dominate and the series would be over.

They have 3 good starters to throw at us, but this lineup is just hitting anyone right now. Fastball, slider, changeup, they are crushing everything. I think we score runs mo matter who we face if the lineup continues to hit like this. On top of that, Castillo and Ray are types that we usually succeed against.

Ray can really give up some long balls. I have more faith in Gausman. He hung some beauties today and the As didn't miss. 4 more outs and this is a perfect day.

Yeah, Ray's numbers have looked really pedestrian this season, that's even with the benefit of playing in a larger park and (probably) better defense.

The decision to sign Gausman over Ray was huge.

Travis with a big hit for ATL. He and Thor (well sort of Thor) and AA roll on while RA dead and gone a long time already. I'm in heaven today. Watched Jays W, Rays lose, Seattle get busted, Brewers blow it (unfortunately) and tonight now the Mets owner's head may explode.

You mean NYY? If we have home field v. Seattle, then Tampa plays Cleveland and the winner of that plays NYY. When we beat Seattle - we play Houston (which kind of sucks balls).

Does anyone know if in the ALDS, would Houston play the lowest remaining seed? If Tampa beats Cleveland - do they play Houston and we (after beating Seattle) play NYY? Or is the ALDS already set that Houston plays the winner of the WC1 v. WC2 round?
