L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 It's silly that Bauer isn't playing, and that guy is. Bizzaro world!!! Can’t have your cake and eat it too!
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Ozuna could drunk drive DeShaun Watson to a massage parlor where they both beat up the front desk person and then sexually assault multiple women and they'd get less games than Bauer. BREAKING: Marcell Ozuna suspended 100 games
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Unfortunately, the Rays have gotten hot. Have won 8 of 10, and currently leading the Angels 5-1 in a day game.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Might as well mention how horrible a thought it would be to face Tampa at the Trop for 3 games in the Wildcard series
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Might as well mention how horrible a thought it would be to face Tampa at the Trop for 3 games in the Wildcard series I just threw up in my mouth at the mere thought.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 That already happened, We got 'swept' Oh I know... Was over in a blink and then 2021 missed the post season by a game Rough couple years...

AMS528 Verified Member Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 I did not realize former Jays minor league guy Harold Ramirez was having a great year for the Rays. Classic Rays, somehow getting an excellent season completely out of the blue from a random cast away that the Cubs gave up for absolutely nothing.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Mitch Haniger is back with the Mariners and doing damage. Fave player on that team. Hope the Mariners make it in this year (not at our expense)
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Liam Hendriks has been absolute s*** since the all-star break
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Also just saw the Orioles highlights… miracle season for them so far this year. Please baseball gods

On the other hand, Willy Adames is the best player on the Brewers so they kinda lost on that one
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Liam Hendriks has been absolute s*** since the all-star break 2.86 xFIP and a 13.19 K/9 in the second half despite his rough stretch. He'll right the ship in no time.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Also just saw the Orioles highlights… miracle season for them so far this year. Please baseball gods As Arash Madani would report: "something special is happening."

On the other hand, Willy Adames is the best player on the Brewers so they kinda lost on that one Sadly, the two pitchers they got back for Adames are doing really well, so even when they give up a good player, it never seems to hurt them. The only bad trade I can think of from the Rays is the Cronenworth deal, but Xavier Edwards still has time to turn into equivalent value.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Also just saw the Orioles highlights… miracle season for them so far this year. Please baseball gods Big factor could be their call-ups and their park. So far they've called up Stowers (who hit the homer last night) and Vavra, both left handed, and they still have a bunch of better left handed hitting prospects in the minors, a couple of which could play in September. Could stack a bunch of lefties with a short right field porch against the Jays right handed hitters who will have to hit a 400 foot shot to clear the deep left field and high wall. I am surprised the park configuration isn't getting more complaints... I am sure it will when Stowers or someone wins a game with a 350 foot homerun while a Jays hitters has a 390 foot shot caught.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 $200-$450m? That's quite a range. Serious bonuses.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Hope the jays lock up vladdy

I don’t think it will get much attention until the Os get in the playoffs and something weird happens. Then maybe it becomes an argument between Angelos and the other owners like Cohen.

What a coincidence! Just like it will be a complete coincidence when suddenly 3 or 4 out of 5 of their starters are left handed.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 $200-$450m? That's quite a range. Serious bonuses. I bet the massive gap is due to options years or some sort of opt out. Like the guaranteed portion probably takes him though age 28 or something and then either club options or Opt-out takes place. Remainder of the contract after that point is probably the 250million difference.
