Seemed unnecessary to pinch hit Jansen so soon considering Reese just got a hit his last at bat. Also, why make him work half the game behind the plate when you didn't want him to work with Pearson to start?

He jumped to try and avoid it. The ball bounced about a foot and a half in front of him with major top spin and just bounced straight up to get him. I rewound the play. It was bad luck.
