Everything about Vlad's bat is elite except his barrel rate (12.4%) which is still quite good but not elite (15-20%).

Bluejays and Redsox at the opposite ends of the table. Redsox have played 10 games against Baltimore already. And a series against each of the two worst team in the AL, Minnesota and Detroit.

So.you're saying a collapse is imminent while Jays and Rays shall rise :)

I watched all of the gm last night and for most of I had this feeling we were not going to win. Probably because I expected we would crush a scrub like Wilson, and the bats struggled. But somehow they pulled it out. Ray has been a miracle for $8mm. Still stuns me OTOH Roark got 2/24. Chatwood looks better right now for leverage than Romano.

Hard to believe they have had only 2 gms from their all around best player, and lost so many others to IL, and they are 2 gms over with their schedule so far.

At this rate Ray will easily be worth a qualifying offer and maybe we can leverage that into a reasonable 2-3 year extension. He already wanted to stay for at least another year so why not. I've been excited ever since we got him.

Got some good news and not sure where to post it.

I don't know if people care about this but I discovered a few days ago that Blue Jays Message Board wasn't being indexed by Google so none of our threads or our content have showed up in search engines for a long time. We've essentially gone years without being easily discoverable to potential new members looking for a Blue Jays community to join.

I reached out to ju1ced about it, who didn't see my message because he's busy with real life. I then messaged Hurl who was able to flag him down. Ju1ced had a pretty good idea of what was causing the issue and immediately got to work on repairing those SEO holes.

This was about 10 days ago. I just checked Google now and it looks like whatever fixes ju1ced implemented worked, at least to a certain degree. BJMB is back on Google and our content is slowly being indexed again.

Not all of our content is properly indexed still and I'm not sure if search engines just need time to go through everything again or the site needs more SEO work. Either way, I'm quite happy that we're at least back on Google at all. Over time, that should help this site get discovered by more people and bring new members to this community.

The only know on Ray was is walks and now that he seems to have that figured out i think he should be a great piece. Just need Pearson or Manoah to step up later this year. Or trade for something

I will blame you personally for every new idiot that joins. You get no credit for any new good contributors.

Nice. That's good news, thank you

I just googled "Blue Jays Discussion" and "blue Jays GDT" and both times this board showed up first, ahead of Reddit

During his mini-slump the last 2 weeks his batted ball stats have deteriorated a bit. Ground ball rate now in the high 40s, hard hit rate under 40.

That being said his batted ball stats are still similar to Juan Soto's so no huge worries but I do hope they are keeping an eye on it. Especially monitoring mechanics, looking at patterns as to how he is being pitched and monitoring fatigue (no days off yet for Vlad).

That's what a high performance team is suppose to do right? Keep him at the .320 .450 .600 level we all demand through high performance magic.

Nice job by the Jays to be two games above .500 with that schedule and all the injuries.

Imagine the line up with .850 OPS Springer instead of .530 OPS Tellez, .800 OPS Kirk instead of .400 OPS Jansen, if Gurriel remembers that he's an .850 OPSer instead of a .500 OPSer and Biggio also remember that he's a .750 OPSer instead of a .600 OPSer.

Trade for Scherzer, add the best one out of Manoah and Pearson to the rotation, and stick the other one in the pen for high leverage along with Merryweather, Phelps, Dolis and Castro.

You mean if everyone met or exceeded expectations at the exact same time and nobody got hurt we'd be a good team? That's an incredible take sir.

Well yeah, not every team can say that and not many teams could be where the Jays are now with as many injuries and underperforming players as they have right now. Smart ass. Lol

Funny because I joined this message board through Google a year ago but do recall it wasn't easy to find. I'd still love to find a message board that has fans of all teams and just not the Blue Jays.

I'd still love to find a message board that has fans of all teams and just not the Blue Jays. Similar to how Realgm is a great message board for basketball fans.
