Just saying. He looked like a crack head this year.

I actually googled it when you said that yesterday. Lots of speculation because he lots a lot of weight and his wife was on social media defending him, suggesting he wasn't a drug addict.

I wonder what % of ML ball players would actually fall under the drug addict category anyway. 15%?

Theo is bailing!

Theo Epstein has stepped down as Cubs president, effective November 20th.

Huge news out of Chicago, which could have wide-ranging implications in the baseball world. Epstein still had one year remaining on his contract, so he's likely walking away from a substantial sum of money. Cubs general manager Jed Hoyer will now ascend to the position of president of baseball operations. Epstein has been with the Cubs since October of 2011 and later helped the Cubs to their first World Series championship since 1908. He could really do anything he wants to do at this point, but both the Mets and Phillies are looking for new team presidents and are said to targeting those who have a track record of success. It's worth noting that Jon Morosi of MLB.com hears that Epstein plans to take next season off, but this situation remains worth watching.

Actually, Asians make more than white people, so probably looking at about $0.90 on the dollar.

Highest earning group out there. Outrage mobs haven't turned on them yet though.

Oh yes they have, especially when they started voting CPC/Ford here in the GTA. Something about them being selfish and not caring about immigrants/refugees coming to Canada after they did now that they're settled. Luckily the virus and the racist outbursts by hillbillies probably bought them another 2 years of victimhood.

New pitcher hair power rankings

1. May

2. Syndergaard

3. deGrom

4. Clevinger

deGrom hasn't had long hair for quite a while now.

I don't know if you saw this, but a Washington State school district just revealed an equity study which now groups Asians WITH "white people" in an obvious attempt to inflame the supposed gap LMAO. So if there's anyone on here who is Asian...congrats guys, you're now "white".

Depends what you define as drug addict.

The % of players addicted to painkillers is likely higher than 15%.

Coke is probably pretty high.

Hard drugs like meth or heroin, probably none, because if you fall in that trap you're going to be weeded out of the game fast. Like Andrew Toles.

Folty looks like a tweaker. Reminds me of Brett Lawrie in his White Sox days.

I guess I meant any of the above. Those addicted to drugs in general. Painkillers, coke, weed, etc. Would it be 30%?

Oh - and thanks for bringing back the memories of Brett Lawrie on the White Sox...

I dislike AA as much as the next guy, but he's done a great job supplementing the team with short deals for impactful talent

Smyly was asking for 3/30, AA sure sold him early on then, very good signing.

I get it, but it took Jon Singleton out of baseball.

 I forgot about him, what a dummy... he likely just said f*** it, I have 10 Million in the bank, but he could've smoked all he wanted in the Show.

I don't think you should generalize them like that. The only one that is really harmful there is painkillers. Watch the Ryan Kesler TSN documentary from September on Toradol. It's f***ed.

I imagine a lot of pitchers are addicted to painkillers to mask shoulder/elbow pains (Skaggs). Catchers likely abuse it as well due to the wear and tear on the body over a full season.

Speaking of which, the NFL has a painkiller problem. Is there a player in the league that isn't on some kind of painkillers to make it through a game?

Jon Singleton took himself out of the game by being bad at baseball.

Ah yes #GenZScience. Where Post Malone's uneducated opinion on the subject heard on a Joe Rogan podcast or something is considered irrefutable evidence:

Cocaine - the "perfect heart-attack drug"

Yeah, a coke habit is pretty much fatal, but Opiods are the number one problem with the War on Drugs in NA.

The Cubs have a bunch of interesting players on the last year of their deals (Bryant, Baez, Rizzo). Plus there is Darvish with 3/59 left on his deal. Will be interesting to see what Hoyer does.

I had my cochlear implant this morning (total success) and was prescribed the opioid Tromadol. Not gonna touch it.

Hoyer was always their GM... nothing's changed yet?

That's good to hear, Jim! Bah-dum Tsh!!! Seriously though, that's good. I felt the effect of morphine from surgery... you can easily get dependent if you're not weaned off correctly.

During my Covid/Covid related health issues this year, I was prescribed an opioid cough syrup (Hydrocodone). It was fun as f***, but I wouldn't take more than 1 refill because I was too worried about the risk of addiction.

Was able to sleep last night without it no problem. f***ing overprescribing pain meds. People are tough enough to get through short term pain.

Why we can't have pharmacare in this country. Imagine what would happen if doctors and the pharma companies greasing their wheels were able to prescribe government-funded pills? Yikes.

Already government funded to a large portion of what the target group would be for the pharma companies (poor people):
