Yes it is lol

A younger version of Solarte, a mediocre relief prospect, and a low level pitcher that wouldn't fit into our top 10 is a ridiculously low return.

With Happ being in high demand, we will get substantially more from the Yankees or another team.

That's not at all an acceptable return for Happ and Maile.

Not sure what you're hoping for but I doubt we would be getting one of their current top prospects If Drury is included. Contreras and Garcia are likely the two most intriguing young SP prospects that aren't currently at the top of their list. P2F pointed out last night that there's a belief among scouts that Contreras will soon be top 5 in their strong system.

Gallegos would step right into our pen and has real K potential.

I thought about adding another solid prospect but let's not pretend Maile has much value.

Have you seen their numbers? Gallegos would project as like our second best reliever after Osuna and Contreras or Garcia would be an amazing headlining prospect as both have a ton of upside and are crushing the low minors.

Five solid starts from Contreras in low A is hardly enough to say that he should be the headline prospect in a deal for an all-star SP.

I'd be more than happy with Contreras and Garcia as returns for Happ. I like them a lot.

FFS - he was only an all-star because our team is s*** and we had to have one representative.

Nobody has even mentioned Erik Swanson or Trevor Stephan! Or Clarke Schmidt!

The point here is that Happ is a top 30 pitcher by WAR and the only one of those pitchers available on the trade market, making him an asset in high demand. We need to get a very good prospect for him.

Garrett Whitlock, even! Dammit, King.

Whats up with Schmidt? Thrown 14 innings since being drafted 16th overall.

So many interesting arms, can't think of a system off hand with more.

FWIW, Contreras just pitched his last start in full-season A-ball...as an 18-year old. It's obvious that the Yankees are very high on him, and his upside is unquestionable.

Newsflash. It's 2018. The price for rentals had dropped significantly. Lower your expectations or you're going to have self inflicted disappointment.

Was this choice of words intentional lol?

Atlanta comes to mind; Soroka, Anderson, Fried, Wright, Wentz, Gohara, Toussaint, Muller, Allard

Might be holding out too much hope on plying one of them away.

I'd have to think Billy McKinney would be in play in any Happ/Maile trade as well. We need some OFers and he's fallen out of favor in NY

Lol yeah Atlanta definitely takes that one. What I should have said is that the Yankees have the most interesting group of SP prospects who aren't already household names - the type of guys we're probably looking at for a Happ rental

Hearing #Yankees are getting closer on JA Happ. Not done yet but getting closer. #Bluejays

I hear that if the deal gets done -- and it is not in physicals yet from what I understand, so still some distance to cross -- Brandon Drury would be key piece going to #Bluejays from #Yankees for Happ. But not done yet.

Drury suxxx. He's no better than Solarte and we could simply sign guys like Drury to one year deals each offseason if we really wanted.

I would be quite disappointed Brandon Drury is the main piece for Happ. Hes just not very good and I don't understand where he would even play. We have to many infielders 2 spots as it is and we don't even have Donaldson and healthy yet and Vlad Jr is on the cusp.

I wanted to at least bring home one of their better pitching prospects. And if we were going to get an MLB player that fell of the map this year I would have hoped it would be Domingo Santana instead.

I'm not ready to give Joel Sherman much credibility yet either lol.

This actually made me laugh pretty hard.
