Solarte's regression hit him like a bag of bricks. He's basically the same offensive player as last year, but he's an awful baserunner and his defense has been below average, not what it looked like in mid-May when he was walking like Joey Votto and hitting bombs from both sides of the plate.

I had no idea he was down at replacement level until I checked a minute ago. At this point if we could unload him for another Santiago Espinal type I'd probably do that. It's not a given that it makes sense to pick up that 5.5M option.

Baseball is a game of streaks. The good players just have fewer and less time in between their cold streaks.

Are all getting traded at the deadline 100 percent. Probably nets us 1 legit prospect and a handful of lottery tickets.

Yeah I was under the impression that he was at least a 0.5-1 win player. He's been bleeding value for two months now.

The Solarte thing hasn't really worked out (unless you listen to Buck and Tabby). I still support the trade, but it appears he's not returning to the 110-120 wRC+ hitter we'd hoped to get.

I don't think anyone will want Axford. Maybe Loup.

Yeah, looked good at one point.

Clippard, Oh and Tepera should probably be on the move. Plenty of teams looking for good relief arms.

I'm really hoping they decide to sell all three of these guys too

If you get a good return for Oh you do it otherwise you keep him for next year. I really think they should move Tepera now. I think his arm is going to explode at anytime.

TBF he was acquired to upgrade on bench options like Goins so he doesn’t have to improve much from where he is right now to be seen as a success.

I don't think they will get anything for Axford so might as well keep him, but Oh, Tempura, Clippard, and Loup should absolutely be moved. Combine them if you have to, but move them.

My concern is not enough buyers for the Jays to really unload, but maybe they don't plan on unloading anyway.

I don't know why anyone would want Loup, he sucks against both righties and lefties.

After the Jays got Hernandez for Liriano, I’m not ruling anything out with lefties.

How does Oh not make that list? His value is much greater than Clippard's. Do some of you not realize that he's up to 0.8 WAR, has been pitching at an elite level for nearly a month now (2 ER in his last 18 appearances?), and has a super-friendly team option for next season?

He should be the first dude out after Happ.

Astros will be kicking themselves in the anus for years for making that trade.

Liriano can hit a high and basically pitch at an elite level at any point in time. Loup is Loup: completely forgettable. That is the difference.

Just kidding I like the concept of mods and regulars making threads rather than newbies and drunks
