Fan 590 right now; apologist radio. f*** me. We needed to make a trade today, if only to send a message to the dressing room that the FO/Ownership is actually f***ing trying. Prado + Drew = Yankees trying. Scott Sizemore (if rumours are true) = not f***ing trying.

 

Is there any money left in the kitty? Can Rogers/FO/Some f***ing monkey in a suit please assure the fans that there was/is/will be payroll available and that the whole Rogers sports budget hasn't gone on the f***ing NHL?

Agreed. If we acquired Valencia and Reimold today, would it be more relevant?

 

AA would get modest props for filling holes, at most.

 

The outrage about not getting anybody is more about other kids having new toys. I wish the team would have acquired a solid piece too, but not at the cost most teams were likely asking (Stroman, Lawrie, et al). The trade deadline hype train is daunting.

Provide us with several trade suggestions that you realistically think we could've pulled off please.

 

Again, AA has improved the roster (Kratz notwithstanding) over the last few weeks.

They wanted to trade the farm away for one year...... This is what they wanted. I For one am looking forward to seeing a Rotation that consists of

 

Stroman

Sanchize

Hutch

Norris

 

However a select few wanted to trade a couple so we could get marginally better so we could try and compete with Oakland and Detroit for 1 year

Obviously talking about Stroman. This makes me feel a lot better. If he had traded Stroman one for one for Price I would of hated it. Im okay with standing pat if the upgrades were not available.

Agreed. I think AA does some dumb stuff, and I don't buy the open wallet comment, but he deserves props for not cutting off a finger to save the hand.

Either Norris or Pompey. Not both but I guess one of them. And throw some other guy in the mix, I dunno. Bottom line is first place teams improve their clubs at the deadline. A trade would've definitely boosted the team, in addition to team morale.

He made tweaks throughout the year that have been effective. You don't have to make a move on deadline day just for the sake of making a move.

The moves he is making under the radar, like the ones you brought up are very good moves.... and he gets very little credit for.

I agree. Had these moves been made today I think people would be a lot more happy becasue we made a trade on deadline day. You upgrade any way you can. That being said I really wish we had acquired McCarthy
