  1. This is absolutely ridiculous.
  2. Members of the crowd look like they're tweaked.
  3. Well Derek Jeter directly insinuated on the air that Boone is not calling the moves that they make.
  4. Santander has to play, he's got one of our more dangerous power bats and I like the way his at bats have been looking. The problem of course is that you have 3 DH players for one slot. This is why I'm not convinced that Bo will make it.
  5. I personally do not agree with dropping Nance for Scherzer. Nance has been great all year, and gave up a grand total of 0 home runs. That's a particularly important statistic. I wouldn't necessarily use Nance against an elite right-handed hitter but against your run-of-the-mill righties, he's solid. With the off days you shouldn't need too much length but if you do need length Lauer can probably give you three innings.
  6. I'm still not sure if we see Bichette. If you get rid of IKF, assuming Bo can't play defense, which I think is a safe assumption considering he's barely started jogging, it really limits your flexibility. You would then have three guys who you prefer to be DH's. That's too many of those guys and not enough defense. Bassitt for Bruihl is an obvious one. I don't think we ever see Scherzer again. We don't need five starters and I'd rather have bullpen guys over him coming out of the bullpen.
  7. Why didn't we get a closer at the deadline? Why did we have to be the team with Mitch Williams?
  8. If Hoffman can't lock down this save we seriously need to drop him into Lake Ontario.
  9. Idiots. Jeff Hoffman is more than capable of blowing this. Judge is up fifth.
  10. Not Little, not f***ing Little! Jesus Christ the whole season we see this guy give up base runners. f*** Little.
  11. I have generally not had much problem with Schneider's management this year, I really don't think the manager matters a whole lot over 162 games one way or the other so I pay little mind to it. But in a short series like this, his decisions are of paramount importance, I sense panic in him and I fear the decisions this might lead to.
  12. I really hope we don't have to do this. But if we do have to do this I really really hope it results in a winning effort. Honestly I'm not comfortable on completely relying on Gausman in game 5, they got better swings off of him and this will be the sixth time they've seen him and the second time in a week. I'd much rather have Yesavage be available for bulk innings in a game we would have to win.
  13. 90% catch probability. Myles Straw could have had a coffee and a biscuit and still had time to catch the ball chest high.
  14. You're right that type of thing can psychologically affect how people feel, but I think it's the manner in which the loss happened and the fact that faith in our bullpen right now is, well, not very high. The last two points are obviously related.
  15. Barger too high in the lineup. I know you want to get his confidence back up but this is not the time, Santander and Varsho need to be higher.
  16. Well if it makes you feel any better, baseball sometimes makes no sense at all, and if nothing else we can count on that.
  17. I don't know how much those numbers really mean, he didn't play there a lot this year. Besides the concern with him playing right field and affecting his hitting I think is if he's doing it every day during the season. To jump in here and there during the postseason I don't think would have any great impact.
