  1. While I want Davis to play pretty much everyday and have wanted that since last season, I haven't given up on Lukes being an effective player for us. Let's hope he gets going.
  2. Just got to ride the wave of early ghouls and goblins until we can get a little healthier and a couple of guys can start finding their groove. Just don't fall too far behind.
  3. Little off this team is a victory for me. Helps me overlook the fact that the baseball gods seem intent on taking some equity back for last year's run.
  4. Just stopped by to say: Why is Little even on this team to begin with? Didn't get enough last year?
  5. The NFL proving again that things move quickly in this league. I'm not a fan of any one team, I just enjoy the ride. If you are a Bills fan, you have to wonder if the window is shrinking. Obviously the Patriots still have a lot to prove and if you have Allen you always have a shot but both the division and the conference ain't getting any easier. Chiefs look washed, they started to show serious chinks in the armor over the past couple of years, they were especially lucky last year. At least they got their titles when they had their chance. Mr. Taylor Swift looks like he couldn't care less. He's got what he wants. There's a whole lot of interesting teams and storylines out there. I just hope the playoffs are competitive throughout.
  6. [Chorus] And I'm free I'm free fallin' Yeah, I'm free Free fallin' [Post-Chorus] (Free fallin', I'm-a free fallin', I'm-a) (Free fallin', I'm-a free fallin', I'm-a)
  7. Leafs lost one of the best players in the game and replaced him with pretty much nothing in a division that was rapidly getting better beneath them. It seemed pretty obvious to me that was the formula of a non-playoff team. I don't know why more people didn't see what was obvious. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch an entire game this season because I have no level of excitement for this team and the few bits I have watched they suck as much as I expected them to. The only thing that may eventually save this core is if McDavid decides to abandon Edmonton.
  8. Pretty much this. They have to upgrade in a couple of areas to really make a push. I've never been a fan of Barrett and that's not changing. I'm a bigger fan of Shead than Quickley, but I haven't given up on Quickley. Interested to see where this current roster maxes out. They're fun though, and headed in the right direction. NBA cup is a good thing for a team like this.
  9. I knew I should have just called him Gradey.
  10. New season, thoughts so far: Already wasn't a fan of Quickley or that horrible contract, the start to the season is doing nothing to allay my concerns. Shead I like, he should get more minutes. BI is BI, no issues there. Barnes is off to a good start, his three-point shooting will regress massively, but if he continues to attack the rim and not overly rely on the three he will have a very good year. Barrett is playing surprisingly well with BI and Barnes, I still think he's a piece that needs to be upgraded in the long run. Need Yak to get healthy. I never understood some people's hype with Dick and I still don't. A guy drafted to shoot threes and is shooting them at 35% while contributing little else. He's just a guy, he's not a piece. CMB, some encouraging moments so far, need to see a lot more.
  11. Just completely empty. Zero satisfaction from the entire run right now. That won't change. All the things that had to go right for us to get to this point, a game that was completely winnable. Hitting with runners in scoring position was such a massive strength for us and it completely dried up the last couple of days. The lights got too bright for some of them. They were basically blinding Varsho. Dodgers played like s*** in this world series, and they still f***ing win. They still somehow managed to be just clutch enough to crawl over the finish line.
  12. They must hate Bieber or something to trust f***ing Dominguez over him.
  13. What kind of pitch calling was that? Way too cute with Betts.
  14. All things considered I'll take it. But if Scherzer isn't done he needs to be on a one inch leash.
  15. You should always have guys ready in the bullpen in a game like this.
  16. Much like finally losing faith Little, Schneider is way too reactive once it already costs us instead of proactive to see it coming from a mile away like the rest of us.
  17. I know you can never do this to a hitter but I almost wish Schneider ordered Clement not to swing at the first pitch because that guy just gets too eager and will swing at any fastball they threw in that situation no matter where it was. Holy f*** that swing man. The swing that may have ended our season. I know we wouldn't be here without him so I'm not going to hate but you can almost see it coming from a mile away with him.
  18. That's exactly where they should have been playing against Giminez. That's not luck. And they teach kids to check the outfielders' position before the pitch as base runners. Apparently they don't teach Major Leaguers.
  19. Clement couldn't help himself. His one Achilles heel is his utter impatience. They positioned Giminez well. After seeing him drops soft singles into left field they finally learned. Hey Schneider, how about f***ing putting Barger in Varsho's spot tomorrow you f***ing idiot.
