I personally gain nothing as a fan going through a more painful process. It doesn't make me want it more or less. I always want to win and only win. Maybe it's different for the players. Any tournament I ever played, it only hurt more the deeper we went. Just the way I feel about it. So there's really no benefit to me personally going deeper into any tournament that I don't win, as a fan or as a participant. The loser mindset I was talking about was people being more concerned about losing to the Yankees than losing to another team. That's kind of a separate argument.
