    At no point was I optimistic, and here we are. It's unfortunate but it always felt like a long shot that old Yimi would return.

    Only a matter of time until Varland's arm says No Más. This team needs to start scoring some more f***ing runs.

    True, but by then Bieber is back and fully healthy and any trade deadline acquisitions would have been made. Hopefully the team is in ideal shape which they aren't right now.

    Nance, Rogers and Fisher are the end game guys today. I guess you could use Hoffman given he had the prior couple of days off but those off days are sandwiched between a couple of 20+pitch outings so they might want to avoid it.

    101 pitches to not even get through four innings is an impressive level of ass.

    Has it been 15 days since they demoted Macko? Otherwise they can't call him up. That's part of the problem with a bullpen constantly under siege and constantly having to move people up and down. And I don't think anyone is really freaking out much (at least not much more than usual) except for you freaking out about people freaking out. It was a bad game that set back the depth of our bullpen, what happened today can have a domino effect going forward on an already overused pen. The decision to call up Little was indefensible, if there's one thing people have the right to freak out over it's ridiculous moves that make no f***ing sense in any way shape or form. Might as well have picked someone out of the crowd, signed them to a contract and sent them to the bullpen. What the f*** was Little doing here? Games like today happen, we all get that, it still sucks and the timing still sucks.

    Remember when media used to take organizations to task, even getting into heated confrontations with managers in order to get answers? That was a long long time ago. Now everybody owns everybody and everyone sucks everyone's dick.

    As I've been asking since last season: Why is Little on this team? This guy doesn't stink any less now than he did before.

    Yesterday helps to reset the bullpen a little bit and then Gausman decides to absolutely fall apart today. This team just can't stop running the treadmill.

    Geez the Red Sox are in bad shape. Will gladly take this sweep. This will help reset things a little bit.

    That could end up being one of the more crucial at bats of the season.

    I'm very well aware that's why I say he had no good options. Nance hasn't looked great since coming back. If he comes in instead and gives up the lead people are ripping Schneider for that instead. He didn't have a good option. Yesavage still had a good pitch count and has better stuff, he went with it and it didn't work. Oh well.

    His options were Nance or Yesavage. I'm not sure he's totally comfortable with either one of those options but given the pitch count, he took a chance with Yesavage. I don't blame him. He's short of a lot of horses today.

    Do you fancy your chances better with Nance or another inning from Yesavage?

    Given how much they are overusing him, I worry. I worry plenty. This really needs to stop. Our leverage guys are getting killed. We need innings from our starters and we need at least a couple of these games to be broken open by the offense. Everybody is back offensively except Barger. There are no excuses at this point. This is our team. Guys need to start figuring it out.

    You know there's two or three people on this board that are just waiting for him to have one really good swing and a home run before flooding this thread with "haterz" and "apologies" ******** posts.

    I wouldn't mind seeing what Scherzer could do out of the pen if he could get healthy. His stuff might play at 100% for 15-25 pitches.
