He can blow all the f***ing games he wants in the minors. He doesn't belong on this team. I don't even blame him, it's not like he's not going to take the promotion to the big leagues. The problem is that he's getting promoted to the big leagues, and then the problem is multiplied by his boyfriend of a manager using him in games that are on the f***ing line when we can't afford to lose games.

We've been pretty good with bullpen games. Including against the Yankees

Yeah I didn't mind the bunt because worst case scenario you have second and third with one out. The failure to execute came after that.

I think that's overly simplifying it. They have guys that are supposed to hit for power. One guy is a head case franchise player. Another guy got too old. Another guy is always hurt, and our young slugger threw out his arm. They hit for a ton of slug last year and they hit for contact. You can do both. It's just that all the slug guys have, for one reason or another, not been there.

Today is obviously sort of the white flag game. We'll put a team of dudes out there, we'll see if we can steal one. But this is probably the one that we most expected to lose.

How is that nonsense? Obviously to beat a guy who doesn't get beat very often you have to do the things that most teams don't do well against him. That's what makes it tough. By the way we already have a walk in this game.

Okamoto has the plate discipline of a Clement without the contactability. Weird to use Tiedemann here. I would have tried to get a second inning out of Fisher and saved the kid for later.

I am aware of his numbers, the point remains a lineup that can work walks can work walks against anybody. We will need a couple of walks to have a chance to score I think.

You can work him for walks if you have the lineup to do it. We had the lineup last year, a bit tougher now. I think we'll need a couple of walks, maybe a bunt here and there and at some point somebody's got to deliver a key hit. This is life when you have no f***ing power. Edit: if we need six runs to win, we might as well forfeit now. We need our bullpen to hold them.

I think you let the game dictate. I'm concerned about SWR against this team. With Shitter on the mound, the leash has to be quite small. Unless it gets out of hand early in which case you let SWR throw his arm off along with Waldron. I'm curious if it does turn into a blowout do they use Tiedemann just to get his feet wet, or do they save him for tomorrow when they might need a leverage lefty.

I will give this organization credit for the fact that they aren't scared to throw their kids in. Yesavage last year and now Tiedemann. I really thought they would tediously wait until Ricky built up like 10 to 15 innings in the minors, I'm glad they're just throwing him in because they recognize we need talent. If doesn't work out, so be it, it's worth the shot.

Let's be honest, it does demonstrate a level of panic from the front office regarding the bullpen given how little he has pitched this year. But the panic is well founded and I'm all for it. Now to start pushing Ponce towards the nearest pitching mound 🙂 -
