  1. AGREED! Biggest game since 2016, maybe even 2015 depending on how you felt about the 2016 team. LFG!
  2. Nothing, just forget it and go do something else.
  3. Because going deeper in the playoffs and losing is more painful, it is innocuous, you may not agree but it is innocuous, it wasn't snarky, I wasn't going after anybody. I simply made a very calm point and I moved on. But because it was me some people decided to get snarky, that's what this is, has nothing to do with this being a blue jays board or the comment itself because anybody else makes that comment nobody cares.
  4. Okay dude, it's real simple we have a different point of view about this, like it's not the end of the world. This is the second straight day that a completely innocuous comment on my part leads to snarky ******** pointless war of words.
  5. Totally fair, I disagree I hate losing in the playoffs and I hate it more the deeper we go, but at least you answered me like an adult instead of an unhinged lunatic looking for a fight so thank you for that.
  6. No I'm just finding of that Reddit might actually be more sane😄
  7. This proves my point, the simple notion of somebody thinking that the Yankees are more talented, a completely fair statement f***ing sets people off on here. The obsession with the Yankees is not from me, it's clearly the people on this board that are obsessed. Tell me, am I the one that goes on to the Yankees Reddit and post things on here because of that obsession? Am I the one posting clips of Michael Kay and all that other ********? No, there's a Yankees obsession on here all right, but it ain't me. Projecting indeed. It's exactly how I knew some people on here think. All that matters to people here is lolYankees.
  8. You too? You'd rather get closer to a championship and then lose?
  9. Stating that a team is more talented is not the same as wanting them to win those are two different things. Are you 5 years old, do you not understand these simple things? You are so obsessed with the Yankees that you would rather go deeper into a playoffs and lose then just have it done in the first round. It's insane. You don't get style points for when you lose or who you beat or how you lose.
  10. Dude, for me it always hurts more the deeper you go. You just end up with more hope. People are so thin skinned about the Yankees and what US media says because of this inferiority complex that people here have so that beating the Yankees becomes their World Series, you don't see how that's f***ed up? It's seriously the kind of stuff that Boston Red Sox fans do, and it's pathetic when they do it and it's pathetic when we do it. If I'm going to lose I'd rather be early, it's not as painful, if we're going to keep going I want to go all the way.
  11. Think about what just happened, people would rather make it later into the postseason just to have it taken away from them, so long as they beat the Yankees. If you can't see how f***ed up that is I can't help you. Hey maybe we'll make it to game 7 of the World Series and lose then but it's okay because we didn't lose to the Yankees. So people here will somehow feel better about that. This is the type of loser ******** that Red Sox fans do, I can't believe people actually defending this mentality.
  12. Wow the mentality of this board is actually Reddit.
  13. I'd rather just lose to the Yankees. They are the biggest roadblock in the American League in my mind, to manage to get by them and then to lose to teams I think we should beat would f***ing suck (especially Detroit). It would be a massive missed opportunity. Beating the Yankees is wonderful, but they are not my world series, the World Series is my World Series.
  14. What I wouldn't give for us to put up a crooked number in the first inning and have Rodon sent to the showers before the Yankees even pick up a bat. Given what has happened in the first two games it seems excessively greedy to ask for, it's not likely, but man would it be nice.
  15. I've heard he's throwing a different type of change this year, one that's better than the one he's used in the past. So there could be something to it. He just needs to keep that ball in the ballpark.
  16. Well all the media focus has been on Carlos Rodon, and how the Yankees for some reason have the pitching edge. I guess Shane Bieber is suddenly some no-named schlub.
  17. I'm surprised to see that Bieber has reverse splits this year. His splits have been pretty even for his career. I wonder if that's just small sample size or if there's something more to it.
  18. I think the narrative in the US media about tomorrow's game has been very disrespectful to Bieber. Everyone is talking about how the Yankees have the pitching edge. I get that Bieber is coming off an injury, maybe he doesn't look like 100% of his old self just yet, maybe his stuff plays a little bit more into the Yankees strength than our first two starters, but Rodon has done what exactly?
  19. I don't think there's any shame in losing to that Dodgers team. It's infuriating but that's a tough team to beat.
  20. f*** the Dodgers man. Why not just pay for an All-Star at every base too? Then pat yourselves on the back some more.
  21. Well nobody should speculate on what we would have received had we traded Vlad in terms of a return. It's very hard to really understand the enormous domino effect of a 15-year half a billion dollar contract until many years down the road. In the intermediate term, we have the Bo free agency, we have gaps in our rotation with Gausman locked up for only one more year and Berrios locked up for too many. Bieber is either gone or may cost a pretty penny to keep. Only 1 more year of Springer and who knows how much longer he can do this anyhow. A big money decision needs to be made on Varsho soon. We can talk all we want about the minor leagues but we don't know until they're here. Yesavage looks like a piece for sure. Barger too, maybe even Schneider, but we need to see it for more than just a part of a season from them to know if they're really part of a core. I just think there's still a lot of gaps and it'll be very expensive to fill because as of right now we don't know if we really have enough young players to fill it. Too many questions marks.
  22. Maybe they saw the Kevin Cash PTSD crazy look in his eyes and left him alone.
  23. I try not to pick preferred opponents because I've seen that not work out too many times in the past. But I have said before that I'm not all that enamored with the Tigers as a team, except for that one guy. I think the Mariners are far more complete.
  24. Yes I already addressed that above. Are we done or are you going to keep this going?
