    Well the bat's not doing enough to keep him there I'll tell you that much. We need Santander. I know he's not a good outfielder, but he can catch a fly ball. That would be a major step up at this point. He's a gold glover by comparison.

    I find it hilarious that everybody was saying how Cal Raleigh was going to have to get hot for the Mariners to have any chance to make the postseason. Well, now he's hot as a piston...and the Mariners are sinking like a rock. I take some perverse pleasure in this. I hope you do too.

    Yeah we might have to survive this game. Hopefully he settles down a little. But expectations for him should not be high to begin with.

    I can see a scenario where the white sox lose first place to Cleveland. I have a tougher time believing the Rangers or Mariners will surpass Houston despite Houston's really difficult schedule, unless 80 wins is enough to win that division.

    We've been two or three games under .500 a few times lately, but this is the first time since June 23rd we're a game under. Can we finally get our heads above water?

    He still should have gone to second. He still would have had Vladdy at second. He had barely slid into second by the time the first baseman caught it. Dumb play.

    Every game is a tightrope with Soriano. Constantly with the baserunners. I don't feel comfortable with this guy on the mound.
