  1. It sucks now. Before I enjoyed it. More casual fans could post what they thought about how the Jays are playing. That's much more enjoyable than the debates about who's smarter that I read on here.
  2. It's a good idea. I think a lot of people avoid posting because of all the insults by arrogant know it all posters. To be honest I liked the mlb.com forum a lot more.
  3. It's a good time if you think about it. They're still long shots but you can relax and enjoy the game without anything completely meaningless to watch. Just enjoy and see if the Jays get hot an make it interesting next week. If not, life goes on.
  4. He sucks lol. I think he becomes a worse version of Rasmus.
  5. The Cubs are a really bad team. Anything less than a sweep and the fork can go even deeper into the Jays.
  6. That's fair I'm not trying to argue. I just didn't see what people are posting so I should have read more. Seemed like KingKat was saying you could get a nice return for him.
  7. I still think when you factor in injury risk that's generous. He was bad because he hit against LHP, but he's also too much of an injury risk for a team to take him for anything more than a salary dump. You might get a useful bench player who's cheaper, that's about the best you can ask for.
  8. Right so we agree. He's "Ok". Matt Joyce isn't worth a lot either. They are both serviceable-good platoon hitters who suck at defence.
  9. You're projecting him at 1-1.5 WAR? I think that's generous. His chronic back problems and inconsistency throughout his career? It's not bad value but I don't think he nets anything worthwhile.
  10. Are people forgetting Lind was useless for 3 years in a row? He's also on the wrong side of 30. He'd be an OK option but I really doubt his value.
  11. Ok. I asked a question because I didn't want to read the last 4 pages. Thanks. He's an easily replaceable guy even at 7.5 million. It wasn't long ago everyone wanted him gone, he could easily once again turn into a poor hitter for his position.
  12. Do people actually think Lind nets a good return? He'd get a similar piece or a less than stellar prospect, stop imagining things.
  13. I sat a few rows back for a Wakefield start. You won't be disappointed. Also don't leave the stadium when you go in. The hour after BP is boring so you might be tempted but I don't think they let you back in.
  14. Who cares stop listening to him so that he can get fired. Thanks.
  15. That part is a cool story I'll give you that.
  16. They'll probably have heart until a few calls go against them or they blow a couple of winnable games. That's the sense you get from the type of players they are.
  17. For a star player I find Longo really boring.
  18. I still find it ridiculous anyone can call themselves a Rays fan. s***** fanbase, boring players, ugly Jerseys and stadium, and they trade their best players.
  19. Arizona removes Towers from GM role. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/09/diamondbacks-fire-kevin-towers.html The shocking part is he hasn't been fired yet.
  20. Also, I haven't listened to a Houston broadcast (seriously, who watches their games?), but I'm surprised they are mid pack. Ashby is very talented.
  21. This list is ******** IMO. Michael Kay and David Cone #19? Those guys are top notch. Harrelson and Stone are the worst I've heard. Vin Skully is like no other. Doesn't mean he's the best. Pat and Tabby are much better than #18 . You can disagree all you want but remember the days of Rob Faulds and Jamie Campbell?
  22. I don't know. -Women would rather eat poutine than entertain their sexuality: I've found this to be true. The women aren't very feminine in general but maybe that's just a North American thing. -People are not friendly: definitely true relative to other cities I've been to in Canada. Actually all my ex classmates agreed with me, even those who grew up there. -Transit system is a joke: ever been to Europe? In Toronto if you take the subway, you can always be late for work and just say the subway got delayed. Everyone in my office liked that excuse. -Lake is a toxic swamp: okay it's not Lake Erie but I believe it's the 2nd most polluted of the great lakes. I don't think it's polluted relative to the U.S. But the nature of it being a larger city makes it have some very dirty areas. Not necessarily a knock on something that happens in every big city.
  23. Yep, there's just a lot that annoys me about the city, but I don't live there any more. As for the transit, I made a mistake taking the GO bus home for the O's series (since it's usually faster than the train). Got home at 1:15 AM on a Tuesday night. Not worth it to watch a 10-3 blowout or whatever that game was.
  24. I actually agree. I haven't been to too many different cities, but everything you said is correct IMO.
  25. Ok, the crime rates are really high in St. Louis, didn't realize that it was so bad.
