  1. I deleted my post cause I forgot about Thole lol. Valencia and Reimold are locks to stay. Outside of that you're probably keeping Gose and maybe one other guy if you go with a 6 man pen. I would probably keep Kawa over Tolleson given that they have Valencia now but it's a hard call.
  2. We'll see if they are right. Maybe they don't like Russell despite what a bunch of people say about him. To be honest Wil Myers looks like he won't be anything special IMO, so it's hard to love/hate what prospects these guys acquire.
  3. The bad Hutch showed up and they still got the win. Redmond looked good and Reimold looks like a good waiver pickup, guy has always been a good hitter.
  4. He's exactly as advertised. A lot of potential but can struggle with his fastball control. Still I was about to skip his first inning and decided to watch when I saw it was him coming in. Exciting player.
  5. Just about every team regardless of how much money they spend during the offseason (and 2 offseasons ago) need to upgrade at the deadline. I don't know who's doing the miscalculating here, AA or Rogers, but they should still get a starter. Doubt it will happen, I actually don't think they have enough assets to get a deal done for a top end starter, maybe they can get a guy like Lackey but how much of an upgrade is he really?
  6. Haha I hope you're joking.
  7. If they got him that'd be great. I'd prefer Lester over Samardzija anyday.
  8. One of those guys makes the most sense. Can't see them giving away Sanchez for 2 months of Lester but a guy who's a little further away would be alright.
  9. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/07/jon-lester-rumors-tuesday.html Apparently the Jays are being "the most aggressive" on Lester. Now that would be something.
  10. Way too early, but he's been locating his high 90s fastball and showing a nice curve. It's hard to refrain from getting excited over this guy's capability.
  11. Gotta go with Dickey I think.
  12. I've been saying for years he's overrated, hopefully he proves me wrong but to expect him to be a good starter is setting yourself up for disappointment.
  13. Not quantifiable=non existent lol
  14. Nice to see some team chemistry with these guys. It could translate to the field, Stroman could learn a ton from a guy like Buerhle so hopefully they hang out more.
  15. There you go. So many guys end up sucking. The forum has been overrating young players for years. Lawrie and Stroman are legit... Snider, Syndergaard, D'Arnaud, Drabek, Wallace, Michael Taylor, even Gose to an extent haven't shown that they can be good players. Snider is the best that I've named so far since he's sticking as a bench player for the Pirates! Then there's Hechavarria who still can't hit, and Alvarez (who I thought was going to be good) has been a good starter this year but still doesn't have stuff to punch guys out. The list goes on, should I go back into the 1980s?
  16. He can show flashes of brilliance. It's hard not to get excited when you see what he's capable of.
  17. He's actually looked good so far. Doubt he'll keep it up but he at least gives good ABs, can hit to all fields and can handle the bat. Not a bad player to have around.
  18. I like Tolleson the best. He's been ok in the field and is easily the best hitter of the 3 IMO. Kawasaki 2nd and Goins should be in AA, not AAA.
  19. Why are both Johnson and Francisco out of the lineup? Kawasaki is batting 6th FFS.
  20. This makes me worried.
  21. Haha nice. For the people who thought this was a stupid move seems like no other idiot team wanted his contract.
  22. Sorry, I figured it was an appropriate time. I wonder if that guy is a poster on this board, he seemed pretty emotionally involved.
  23. If they get nobody, we may as well stop caring. Like you said once again it's quite clear what holes the team has: 2B and starter... I am surprised, these are the same holes they had in the offseason.
  24. Ok so this means the Jays are getting either Prado or Rios or nothing?
