  1. how many "glove first" guys do you have in the lineup? Clement Gimenez Kirk Varsho I don't think you can have 4......
  2. How long do Jays go with Ernie and his slap happy hitting? i'd prefer seeing Martinez given a run at 3B
  3. How long is Ernie Clement's rope? does he get unlimited starts at 3B??
  4. Does Bichette have any real trade value?? it seems to me you'd be lucky to get a lefty reliever to add to the pen, no way he pulls an every day starter after last year
  5. Alonso just feels like a pipe dream - just like Ohtani and Sasaki I hope it works out but.....
  6. Problem is we have a horrible farm system and getting better will take quite a bit of time
  7. The other current issue is that the Jays have very little to look forward to in the farm system..... When will things look up again is the problem, team hasnt bottomed out yet
  8. this lineup is woefully inadequate and was built this offseason by S&A There no way Bo and Vlad resign here with this lineup around them.....
  9. i think errors are not the only issue, his range is not strong as shown by his Defensive Runs Saved numbers
  10. yes, why i said i don't know how each of the three are valued externally (or internally). kirk is known, but his appearance (and speed) influences my perception of his value if we are trading Kirk (or moreno), we aren't doing it for another prospect - we are in play now and win now mode so you need an every day player or mid rotation starting pitcher
  11. one issue this season was the Jays having Moreno sitting on the bench to end the season. He their best prospect asset (above average MLB catcher) and they would not use him in games and apparently not in trades either. Next season this needs to be rectified, 3 players for 1.5 spots (C and part time DH) I would choose to move Kirk, my opinion without knowing the facts about relative trade value. My thought is that Moreno has the highest trade value because he is the youngest and has the highest ceiling. Kirk would have 2nd value because of age/control. it becomes asset management and moving one is important to improve other areas of the roster. The next discussion would be where you prioritize you areas to improve. Contenders don't have players like Tapia getting 500 AB in a season. so i would like to add a CF. If you move Springer to RF you prob also are going to move either Hernandez or Gurriel otherwise you have a log jam with 4 full time OF (Gurriel, Springer, Hernandez, new CF) so off season i'd trade Kirk and Hernandez/Gurriel to improve your team. you'd add a full time CF and hopefully a higher end Starting pitcher in that scenario. Relief pitching can be added through Pearson, Zulueta and Free agency
  12. instructionals are in Florida. Won't need a passport for awhile....
  13. how much less would it cost to acquire Ketel Marte?? Seems like he'd be a better defensive matchup and a great add to this lineup
  14. so conforto replaces Dickerson and Stro replaces Ray i have more certainty with Stro than Ray anyway... Could Ray regress and you are paying for a "Blip up" year?? maybe you can move Kirk, knowing you have Moreno almost ready to replace him. I'd move Jansen too if the right offer came along
  15. Biggio is not solid, plus his defence is below average he's a bench guy who can Pinch hit and hopefully work a walk
