  1. I guess they were worried he was cooked? It's looking like they sold low on him though so good for Toronto, in hindsight.
  2. And after the White Sox they get the Pirates, lol. I guess May is the month where we would hope to see the Rays go on a losing streak: Yankees, Orioles, Yankees, Mets, Brewers, Blue Jays, Dodgers Toronto gets one soft patch in August/Sept: Nationals, Rockies, A's, Royals, Rangers, Red Sox And that soft patch in June/July around the all star break: Rangers, Marlins, A's, Giants, Red Sox, White Sox, Tigers, Diamondbacks.
  3. Whit Merrifield makes less than $3M right now
  4. kookoocheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  5. lmao Kikuchi is a f***ing stud now
  6. It would not be a pathetic look for the White Sox if they were any good. But they suck all the time. The Rays are always good. They are beyond criticism.
  7. Pathetic look for the White Sox if we are being blunt.
  8. Jays rotation is so weird. All over the place with talent, expectations, results. Haha.
  9. Teoscar is making $14M this season. He really was not worth a whole lot. Macko makes or breaks the deal. If he is any kind of useful MLB pitcher for Toronto, they win the thing hands down. If Macko busts then it might be closer to an even trade in hindsight unless Swanson really shoves.
  10. so happy i own kelenic in one of my dynasty leagues. always been a massive fan and supporter
  11. I don't know either but I don't place a lot of value on the range metrics, for first basemen. Eye test says his range and ability to make high-level plays like unique throws are both good. And he's sublime at picking it, which I don't think the metrics really capture.
  12. Vlad's defense is so f***ing good.
  13. I'm not so sure. The thing with these wicked looking sinkers is they are tough to command and the shape of the pitch causes them to not miss as many bats as you'd think. There are many modern relievers with power sinkers who underperform expectations. Jordan Hicks, Brusdar Graterol, Jimmy Cordero... Jose Alvarado was horrible for several years... Joe Kelly, Gregory Soto... Some INSANE arms here and many of them have had some great years but just like Pop and League when you look at the total baseball card you see lots of warts. Some high ERA years, some high walk rates, some low K rates. I'm not a huge fan of the "power sinker" prototype. But, I don't mind having one of these dudes on the roster. Good for diversity.
  14. One tallboy and a tug in the mens room?
  15. Find an alcoholic and trade them two tallboys for their jersey
  16. Yeah Pop's fastball is very similar to League's. They also have eerily similar mechanics and tempo, if my brain is remembering League correctly. League had several very good years including some closer time later in his career, but he never got a lot of strikeouts and he had a few stinker seasons by ERA/FIP (probably due to not missing many bats and therefore being subject to batted ball and HR rate randomness).
  17. Pirates called him up while he was all sad and s*** shameful
  18. I don't know what to do with them all
  19. outfielders for sale outfielders for sale come and get one
  20. Even some of the Red Sox bats that were showing up on prospect lists are questionable prospects. Miguel Bleis has a rough K/BB profile. So does Ceddanne Rafaela. Those two are borderline hackers. Enmanuel Valdez was thought of as just a potential role player until he was traded to Boston, then all of a sudden he's ranked higher. Bit of a joke. It's really a god-awful system. Casas is alright, but a 1B prospect. Yorke is interesting I guess but 2B prospects are rough assets to hold. They'll probably get ONE half-decent MLB SP out of all of Whitlock, Bello, Mata, Walter, Houck... The rankings are simply wrong. One sprinkle of Yankees-style bias, and one helping of s***** prospects being overrated in a thin system.
  21. Grant aren't you like 35 now? Marry that thing
  22. I dunno man, the Red Sox might suck for a while The farm is atrocious The GM is also stupid
