  1. I can't even believe Toronto is in this position. Their roster is/was so much better than some of these teams. What a waste.
  2. Kind of thinking there is a decent chance Seattle goes off and Toronto ends up flipping Houston or TB...
  3. Better SS defender I think DeJong was at 1.5 fWAR when the trade happened. Maybe the team thought a 85 wRC+ with pop would be preferable to a contact driven 85 wRC+. Who knows.
  4. Hey hey hey give them some credit. They'll extend Austin Hays or something too.
  5. DeJong is 30 Most of the projection systems give Espinal the edge offensively But, both suck.
  6. 10-5 isn't good enough against those teams need more
  7. I don't think so One has a chip on his shoulder and works very hard The other has a family sized bag of chips in his belly at any given time
  8. I feel like Toronto's remaining schedule is easier than all the other teams in the WC mix. Those 6 Yankee games remaining looked like tough matchups weeks ago but they might have mailed it in by then... After the BAL series this week Toronto has 15 consecutive games against CLE, WSH, COL, OAK, KCR. Really need to go like, 12-3 or better in that stretch. And then succeed head to head against the AL East teams and Texas to finish out the year. On September 22 Toronto still has 6 games remaining against Tampa Bay. It will be cool if they are limping to the finish and within a game or two. Man, taking 2 against Baltimore this week would be nice.
  9. Couple of Blue Jays spies trying to sewer Seattle today. Saucedo give up some runs now Thornton in... let's see if he gets f***ed. Seems like Hancock got hurt
  10. Greene is like a rich man's Nate Pearson Similar stuff and problems. But, better of course.
  11. Not sure he scores given how hard it was hit
  12. Every few days this team has a night that makes me think "it's over" Add getting shut the f*** down by Brent / Brett / Brump Kennedy (?????) to the list lmao f***ing losers
  13. one of the smartest and most durable players ever, i would guess

  15. This kind of shocking debuts have always been part of our system. With the old draft timing it was international players that could debut without ever being subject to a draft Now it's MLB draft players. Still exceedingly rare though
  16. I like it. Give Craig his chance.
  17. They really should NOT option Schneider. If Bo is healthy then Espinal and DeJong are completely redundant because both are just light bat, left side defenders. At least Schneids is a viable RHB platoon or pinch hit option. 100% I would be optioning Espinal because I'd want to keep DeJong in the fold in case Bo's knee blows up in a week.
  18. maybe just to give him one more day off
  19. I agree Their draft and development strategy is unusual because they basically admit they suck at developing talent so they just draft MLB ready guys all the time. But nothing inherently wrong with that. Maybe this guy is completely ready for his shot and has nothing to learn. I mean his K/BB rate and numbers seem to show this... Reid Detmers had like 60 minor league innings Zach Neto only had 200 minor league plate appearances
  20. I wonder if he is using a different bat or something
  21. Yeah. That's the statcast spray chart with only those two pitches selected. It's pretty f***ing nuts.
  22. He's like Steven Kwan... on steroids... with no defense.
