Yeah tough without Judge. Lineup is so different.

Still, even with Judge, Yankees are a team with a lot of flaws.

The best hitter in baseball does cover up a low of flaws though.

Their lineup plays a lot better at home, so wouldn't shock me if they win the next two. 90% of their lineup without Judge are LHB that benefit from their Mickey Mouse home dimensions. Cody Bellinger has a wRC+ of 97 and 81 on the road the last two seasons, while it's 149 and 152 at home. Of course, their fielding likely sucks anywhere, so all the Rays have to do is put the ball in play and the Yankees will panic.

The Yankees are hilarious.

More likely to finally get fired if they suffer an embarassing sweep - Boone or Cashman or neither

1. Middle of the order this series:

Luis García Jr., Spencer Jones, George Lombard Jr., Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Trent Grisham

0 for 33

2. They put out in their "best defensive lineup" yesterday and committed 4 errors

I dislike kike Hernandez.  Just a s***** guy and I’m not impressed that he put up better stats for 90 career playoff games.  If he was actually the playoff guy he wouldn’t hit 9th

Michael King is a beast.  Love watching that guy pitch.  All hands on deck for the Padres.  This must be so hard for Mason Miller - 1st kid is on the way, team is on the ropes!  He also needs to stop tipping his pitches.

Walker Buehler to start Game 4 is gross, but the Padres will keep fighting.

Love me some playoff baseball!

and we thought our dee was bad

A lot of fans are getting an eye opening experience these playoffs after non-stop complaints about how bad our defense was this year...

I gotta give some props to Kiki Hernandez.  The guy's been Gimenez with the bat in the regular season and has been worth -0.8 WAR combined over the last 4 seasons.

However - come playoff time, he transforms into a new player and has consistently come up clutch.  He's a career 123 wRC+ hitter in the playoffs, which is remarkable for someone who's been like an 80 wRC+ hitter since the 2019 season.

It’s really not that impressive.  He has half a seasons worth of at bats.  At this point we put it down to luck.  Otherwise he wouldn’t be at the bottom of the order consistently if they thought he was someone who just happens to shine in the playoffs, which isn’t actually a thing.

the guy is still a piece of s*** and it’s time to stop mentioning him here

or will we start sucking off every s***** player who had 1 good season randomly
