The post game presser is a joke, you can hardly hear the questions - but I think someone asked if Rogers was availalbe when the question should have been why tf did you use Mantiply

Well, like I said they game plan, Little could've been slotted in and then what if he f***s it up? lol

The problem is Fisher got up.

This is where getting Fish ip, puzzles me, use him right there, then. That's my only beef. I understood the match-ups, but...

Again, failure to pivot from “the gameplan”

Been a problem since the 2023 Berrios playoff fiasco. Maybe even earlier

Schneider isn't an intuition manager.  He doesn't manage by feel or momentum of the game.  It just isn't in his toolbox as a manager.

For real... was waiting for that question but none of the pussy reporters could ask the simple question.  When you own all the teams and sports media basically, you get softball questions.

Keegan Matheson doesn't, he's an MLB Toronto reporter... meh

Agreed, he's programmed for the FO, while keeping the clubhouse light. A Players Manager if we will, hahaha.

My point... 💯

The Jays gave up in August and made a few shrewd moves that helped the dream and the future of this franchise, can't not like that.

A good point but it leads me to think the front office did their job but we don't have the right manager to take the real step.

People really don't understand how much of a problem this is in today's sports.

Reporters used to challenge managers, manages used to get mad at them because they didn't like to be asked the tough questions. It's all softballs now, nobody wants to upset a manager, heaven forbid.

Reporters think they have to be friendly now, they may not be wrong, they may have their privileges revoked by ownership, MLB and rights holders if they aren't soft as Charmin. Most people now are too young to know how f***ed up this is because it's how they've always known it. But I remember when reporters mattered.

They are a mouthpiece, there at the shovel the ******** for the organization.

He won't be fired, I can guarantee you that after this season... Injuries have f*cked us, pitching staff stepped up huge. The resurgence of 2nd half Bateman, Springer, Kirk, Smith, Straw etc... we still rollin'

Not attempting to steal Mac with Vlad the double play guy then with Kirk the slowest guy in league. This is neglect. Not sure what JS was waiting for.

i am  not one that got  on the manager and I know they had a ton of injuries this season but that should not be an excuse to not let  JS go. I now think he is not the guy forward.

which is hard to believe, he has over 700 games of managing experience in the minors I'm sure most of that was without direction from above

People like to say managers don’t matter, but plenty of times you see a mid-season firing and the team immediately plays better.

Redsox this year, Phillies this year, Phillies 2022, etc

I believe part of that is often because the players feel guilty they cost a man his job, so they sometimes just lock in more.

A different voice can just shake sh*t up too.

Bullsh*t PR responses to questions are pointless.  Reporters may not ask though questions, but managers are trained and no longer answer with headline making responses. They aren't stupid like the older managers were.  But it didn't matter as much back then became there was no social media to spread it like a wildfire.

That's just how it is now for obvious reasons.

Obviously it was ya Bird, look at his MLB record, this fella is in no threat of losing his job. Especially when the team's core falter'd early. And injury.

Yeah but, if you challenge managers they will let things slip, they're human, they lose their temper especially right after a game. That's the best time to get honesty from players and managers. Of course even if you do the PR person is right there to step in. I f***ing hate PR people with all my black heart.

Jansen had two disengagements, was slow to the plate, and he still didn't get mac to steal.  In front of two double play inducing monsters.

I don't think it was stupidity as much as just having no balls.  If he got caught stealing, well then at least JS went down swinging.

I actually was hoping he would get Vlad to bunt Mac over.  THAT would have been amazing.

I agree with you that he won't be fired.  Also I don't think the discussion of firing him is stupid.

A couple of front offices might fire him...  Not this one though.

After next year if this happens again?  After 2 World Series wins, it took 4 years of this to get Cito Fired.  This is really similar to the 94-97 Cito teams (with more luck and extra playoff spots).  I say 2 years gets him fired.
