Maybe... but its hard to say without him standing next to someone else that isnt crouched.

Wild game in Vancouver last night... Canadians went up 8-0 after the 2nd and were up 13 - 4 after 4, but had to walk off Spokane in the 10th to win 15-14. Bottom of the 10th started off with a throwing error from Spokane's 2b which allowed the ghost runner to score and the hitter to get to 2b. Sac bunt to get him to 3rd, then a weak grounder that the runner on 3rd couldnt advance on. Then Spokane's pitcher balked in the winning run with 2 outs. 

Barriera's debut outing did not go so well, came out of the pen and threw 1.1 IP, gave up 3 hits, 3 BB, struck out 2 and gave up 5 ERs. 

Worth noting Dameurys Pena's (the 3rd guy we got in the Hoffman trade) has been on fire since joining the Canadians with 6 hits (2 doubles) and a walk against only 1 K in the 3 games since arriving.

They dont get savant data from any level other than AAA or A ball. Guerra spent most of his season at A+ and AA until his last 2 appearances. Data will be limited

I'm curious to see how the club views Guerra moving forward. I believe he likely possesses the stuff to succeed out of the rotation but the stuff has ticked up several notches in shorter relief outings to the point where he might be a monster bullpen arm.

The dichotomy is false. Just handle him like Spencer Miles, in and out of the rotation, 3 IP at a time, in 2027. 

I am very interested in that f***ing arm angle lmao. Toronto would have #1 and #2 in all of MLB I think. The most over the top motherf***ers in baseball.

That's a little presumptive to assume that Guerra will be able to succeed in longer outings in MLB before throwing a single pitch at the level. I don't believe Miles would have thrown so many innings this season had the rotation not been in shambles.

I think I remember the scouting report on him being a bit stiff for a starter. But I’d assume he’d get a chance until he fails.

I'd imagine Guerra and maybe Stanifer will get their feet wet at the MLB level late this season in relief roles possibly, but either way both will probably start next season on the AAA rotation.

I can see Tiedemann getting the 2026 spencer Miles role with the Jays. 50 or so innings of relief / long man / spot starter as long as his arm doesn't fall off again.

Jays system is certainly starting to have some juicy/intriguing arms work their way into the upper minors this season.

Following Javen Coleman with a high level of interest at AAA as well. Although he is strictly a reliever, he could be a good one from the left side.

Nolan Perry and King will be possible debuts as well. Maybe Dasan Hill in relief if he sorts some things out

Love this guy but this doesn't seem like an MLB starter's mechanics, really. Can't see this holding up for deep outings or long seasons.

His finish is so off balance. Weird.

He really gets over his toes a lot during his leg lift and drive.  This activates the quads, instead of activating the glutes.  This isn't ideal and actually hurts velocity.

He needs to get the weight back on his heels more, activate the glutes/hamstrings, which will allow him to stay in the ground longer.  It typically will make you more consistent too - something he needs with all the walks.

Surely to god the Blue Jays are working with him to correct it.

SOMETIMES this is misleading as dudes will have different finishes for different pitches, even though they are on sync until delivery on those various pitches. Like a follow through queue for how they throw the curveball, etc.

yup, we talked about it a few posts up, but yeah, he absolutely sells out for power and it's legit.... IF he contacts the baseball

Another dude that just crushes moonshots is Peyton Williams, the 6'5' 260+ pound Iowa Meat Truck who's up to AAA. Dude hits absolute tanks. But, sadly sucks at virtually every other aspect of the game lol

Another guy hitting a ton of HRs in Dunedin of all places, Aldo Gaxiola. 6'2 1B, 20 years old. 17 HRs this season.

He's hitting from the opposite side and is actually a bit shorter and heavier, but the frame and swing path made me think of Matt Stairs

Speaking of Jojo - so far so good at A+.  Not a ton of power yet, but he's walking and K'ing at a 18.6% clip, which is nice to see (86 PAs).  142 wRC+

Look at some of Peyton Williams HR swings when you get a chance. They aren't as violent but, almost more like... controlled chaos looking and the ball just gets destroyed. There's a lot of meat behind it

He's probably my most irrationally interesting prospect in the org

Jo Jo Parker - more I stats scout him, the more I proclaim the truth no one wants to here.  The next Cavan Biggio.  Almost certainly. 

Keep in mind this isn't an insult.   Take Cavan Biggio 2019/2020 version.  Put those stats up for 10 years in a offensive environment a little worse than 2019/2020 that is a great player.

He'll put up Cavan Biggio 2019/2020 numbers for longer than Biggio did.

.269 .400 .460 or so overall now between Dunnedin and Vancouver.   Cavan Biggio couldn't do it better if you sent him there today.  But he is 30 now.  Jo Jo is doing it mostly at 19... and will get the chance to do it age 21 to 35 in the majors.  Cavan Biggio but without the bad seasons and 15 years of walks and medium power and hitting .250 2b or 3b ok defense.  15 years for Jo Jo, the new Cavan Biggio, compared to just 2 good ones for the original Cavan Biggio.

Parker is producing nicely in high A as a 19 year old. Biggio by comparison was 22 years old by comparison so this isn't exactly an apples to apples comparison.
