I love that having a hit and a walk legitimately qualifies as one of his best games of the year

It doesn't come close to his best games of the year. He's been killing me, though, lol.

what does that have to do with Shane Gillis though?  I mean it's a funny pic...

The top pic looks very similar to Shane Gillis. Like his doppleganger.

You guys gotta read the replies to that Talkin' Yanks tweet. Some truly phenomenal stuff is being tweeted in there.

Happy Antonio Banderas GIF

Big Nick Turturro is probably losing it on Twitter haha.

NL team this year will be the Padres.  Nice to see the dodgers lineup not look like a complete powerhouse 1/4 of the way in, just a bunch of aging superstars and an Ohtani who probably won't win the MVP.  Yea he's doing pretty good still but in 2 years time Japan will have turned on him if he isn't the best player in the league.  There's no room for 2nd best in that culture.  I'm thinking all the Ohtani banners and billboards get pulled.

Give someone else a chance this year.

Ohtani is going to take a break from winning MVP and capture his first Cy Young instead...

What the hell are Houston going to do with Imai?. He has been essentially unplayable this year.

You can't even really eat a portion of the money either and trade him. He has opt outs each year.

Just gotta hope he gets healthy and finds his form.  Maybe the slightly larger ball is effecting him?

It's similar for the Dodgers with Roki. Options are limited.

It's alarming how poor of a start Houston is off to.

Well Roki is making the minimum which helps a ton. But yea this season is looking like a disaster for houston.

Oh yeah - that's true to some extent, but he's only making $18M per year for 3 years.  It's not some $150M / 6 year disaster contract.  It sucks though.

Perhaps it's a glimpse of why teams were cautious with Murakami.

What.  What is Teo doing?  Did he think it was a foul ball?

watching it live, he probably assumed it was going to bounce into the stands for a ground rule double - instead it hits the wall and goes right by em

I love Bo still. Really hope he turns it around. He came off an injury that would typically keep someone out and hit what would have been one of the biggest homers in franchise history if hoffman doesn't melt down. I only hope the best for him.

At this point I'm feeling bad for Bichette, he's reliving his 2024 season stat for stat.

But in front of a very unforgiving media and fanbase

Eek

I also hope he turns it around though

USA Today’s Josh Peter reported that Dodgers’ closer Edwin Díaz and Kentucky Derby winning jockeys Jose Ortiz and Irad Ortiz Jr. are “linked to cockfighting events in Puerto Rico.”

Peter reported that social media posts show Díaz and the Ortiz brothers posing for photos advertising the cockfighting tournaments. Díaz appears in his Dodgers jersey in one of the photographs, and one of the advertisements specifically says one of the tournaments is “A Tribute to the Puerto Rican Star and Cockfighter Edwin ‘Sugar’ Díaz.” There’s another story from March 10th, which shows Díaz in the middle of a cockfighting arena. While cockfighting is historic and culturally significant in Puerto Rico, a federal ban on cockfighting in all 50 states and U.S. territories took effect in 2019. Neither Díaz nor the Dodgers has commented on the report, and there is no indication right now whether the reliever, who is on the injured list after elbow surgery, will face any sort of consequences.

This isn't a great look.

It's surprising how his season has unfolded as he's transitioned well enough to third base but hasn't been producing at all with the bat.

Seriously sucks that nobody considers that an important homerun, when it should be considered legendary. 3 run homer off OHTANI of all people to take the lead in game 7.

I saw SN do a top 10 HR's in history, and Bo's was at 4.

Yeah, he mentioned it after the game going in the stands, and said it was on him for assuming. Braincramp.

Teo

.697 OPS

And now it's .737 funny early on how numbers jump so many points when you have a good night.

Nice. Most of the vids i’ve seen of top playoff moments don’t even include Bo

These Japanese guys come into our country and disrespect our team and make illegal sports bets (Ohtani) and steal our women (Roki date Sydney Sweeney).  I'm sure Yamamoto has done some very bad things which will likely be making the news at some point.

Then they fall off skills wise and will likely be forgotten in a couple years.

Guys like Ichiro and Kikuchi had some respect but the new generation (Ohtani and sasaki) is something else, no honour.  Okamoto is new here and hasn't had any problems yet so I giving him a pass, for now.

In unrelated news, we also have Bichette, one of the worst hitters in the league hitting in the 2 spot on one of the biggest markets in the league.  I"m sure Soto is thrilled hitting behind him.  Have fun with a bunch of 60 rbi seasons for the foreseeable future.

That makes no sense.  It should be the other way.  In a good Sosa year Bichette could tie his Dad for 100 rbi season with -2 WAR.

.220 .250 .290 12 homers 101 rbis
