Love this. Ponce was one of those value deal players that a lot of teams were after and we got it done. Can start or relieve with high velocity 

This must be what it feels like to be Dodgers and Mets. I know we’re not quite there yet in terms of absolute payroll, but we might be since there is definitely going to be an impactful position player add.

No clue how Ponce is going to pitch in the bigs, but it's a reasonable gamble at 3/30. Even if he's a back end SP it would be worth it. Wonder what this means for Berrios, though.

I would hope the plan is to move him. Jays have 5 startersbetter than him currently and it could be 6 if Ricky T is healthy.

Pretty much yes. He was terrible in 2024 in Japan.

Went to the KBO added 2 MPH velocity and a sweeper and put up the most statistically dominant seasons in that league. Struck out everyone including an 18 strikeout game. Fun fact be broke Ryu’s record lol.

I love this gamble. They take it. We’re out on any other pitcher from the Pacific Rim. Also have another guy under contract after next year. Trim as a starter and if you can’t make it, he would probably look nice out of the pen.

Alternatively, Yesavage starts in Buffalo and comes up after the 1st inevitable injury

Yesavage had 25 MILB games in 2025, and pitched 98 innings or slightly less than 4 innings a game.

Im not sure the Jays are ready to give him a full workload.
