JS went with Hoffman against the top of the order last night. If that's your closer, then that's the spot to use him. Either use Hoffman for 2 innings or plan for the 9th as it happens, but do not use a guy with a 7 BB/9 over the last 4 months of the season.

Gausman would’ve given up a 2 run homer in the 6th then and they would’ve taken the lead anyways lol. Pulling him there was correct, and you are stupid.

But to see Varland who almost did (just got lucky that ball didn’t hit the pole) and then we gambled with the baseball gods AGAIN the next inning to allow Little pitch versus the heart of the order

Too many Jays relievers with serious control issues. Sometimes they come up and throw pitch after pitch in the waste zone. It's unlike anything I've ever seen

Was the case a lot of the season too :/. High BB rate will get you every time

Little has come in for 2 games in this series, tied 1-1 and up 2-1, and blown both. 

But during the two blow out wins, they didn't use him.

Little will be used in this exact same scenario in Game 6 and/or 7 if it happens. Nothing is going to change.
