Skewed by an atrocious August from our pen. Plus i’d bet the Mariners pen has less innings overall due to their starters being better. But yeah Munoz/Brash are better than almost anything we have in our pen.

Gotta hit the starters or at least knock em out early and get to the middle of their pen. No more 6 inning starts from them or we’re gonna have a rough time.

Couldn't sleep so I did something I normally don't do and read the general media reaction to the loss. And the narrative is pretty much all Kevin Gausman was pulled too early. And you can debate that is probably true but it isn't the reason they lost. They lost because they got 2 f***ing hits. You can't win a Baseball game if you can't hit or score runs. Gausman could have pitched perfect the rest of the game and they didn't do anything offensively. Your pitching staff limits an opponent to 3 runs. You expect to win. Especially at home.

I hope so. The Jays need it! We all thought Miller was gonna get smoked by the Jays also but it was the exact opposite. Baseball is a funny game sometimes.

Yea the narratives are always brainless. Most of the time you win with 3 runs given up. If you could give the other team 3 runs each game to not bat at all you would do that without a second thought

If you score 3 runs it's about 37% odds to win. So pitching gave the Jays a good shot at 63%

Crazy that the last 3 ALCS openers the Jays have been played in have been the exact same game.  THE EXACT SAME GAME.  

The most inspirational team fans have seen in a generation gets a good matchup and the offense is dickless, lifeless, useless and drains all the energy and good vibes.

October 16th 2015 -5-0 Royals.  3 hits.  After bat flip game.  Well maybe they were tired after inspirational bat flip.  Well Seattle wasn't tired after 15 inning crazy game. 

Oct 14th 2016 - 2-0 Indians This after 4 days off to line everything up.   Lindor homer in 6th.

Oct 12th 2025 3-1 Mariners.  Big Dumber #62.  Big Dumper always kills the Jays.  Game 1 of the ALCS is always the same.  

Maybe all of life and the Universe is just a lazy simulation designed to inflect maximum pain and just repeats the patterns.

They went down both 2-0 in 2015 and 2016. But both Game #1 and #2 for the Jays were on the road I recall. 

Drove down to Cleveland that weekend and what an awful two games 😥

Yeah there were no 500 level tickets released, only 100 level and some 200 level, which were $500 + each and have doubled from the ALDS. It's a lot of money and yeah quite expensive. Even if you had season tickets, the average middle-class person likely can't afford to be dropping $1K + to attend an ALCS game.  

I'm shocked that there was an entire section essentially along the right field line with blue seats available. Like were the Jays holding those seats from the public during the online sale to create more demand for resellers after? Fishy to see that many available all at once. Ticketmaster is a bit sketch will just say that. 

I believe the Blue Jays set their Postseason prices. We know this front office has already increased regular season ticket prices over the last couple of years, so they definitely are going to take advantage for the Postseason, knowing people will pay whatever.

World Series tickets, if they make it, likely will be starting at $1K each for 100/200 level infield 😳

Let’s face it - after game 3 against Yankees a lot of folks started writing off this team. Bottlers etc. and we got a response from the team. I am expecting the same today. I plan to cheer them at the game no matter how it goes. Let’s go Jays!

This is why baseball is the hardest sport to follow.  So much luck.  And the losses are often the same, just a game where unlucky things happen.  

Like last night in the first inning if Vlad's line drive is in the gap completely different game.  Of he gets 3 degrees more launch angle on it.  Or 3 degrees less.  

I remember the 2016 game 1.  Which was literally the same game with a similar vibe to the first inning and the sixth.  Edwin hit a 400 foot flyball off the wall and Donaldson couldn't score from first.  That ball a bit higher different game.   Lindor hit's his flyball a bit farther in the 6th.  So much of this s*** is just the hard hit ball finding or not finding the glove.  Or a couple of balls hit at slightly different launch angles decides it.

I didn't go to the game yesterday haha. But definitely recommend going to a game with Spanky sometime. We had some board meetups at the Dome back in like 2011 or 2012 I remember.

I think it was correct to swing early against Miller. His early count stuff is inferior to getting into their bullpen. 

Little should have never went over the plate on 3-2 to Polanco after throwing 50 foot curveballs. I think everyone in the stadium knew fastball was coming. Big big error there with Naylor on deck.

This is the same s*** as the Minnesota game. They lost 2-0 lol while everyone was complaining they lost because of pulling Berrios
