He WAS that guy until May when the troubles started. Management has not been able to pivot

I’ll say Hoffman has pitched better than his numbers would indicate but when he blows up he really blows up. Hes had a few outings this year that he doesn’t have it and just gets completely rocked.

You gotta recognize that and pull the plug IMO. Varland certainly seems like their best reliever. Hes got that Dawg in him on the mound that inspires confidence and he’s got such nasty stuff.

Well that was an interesting series. 

I think the Dodgers clearly outclassed us. I don't care what their record is, obviously injuries have been an issue but you can see their pedigree.

We scratched and clawed for a win.

If this team is going to have a chance to do absolutely anything, Hoffman is going to have to be an important part of that. Too many excuses have been made this year for this guy, he needs to step the f*** up and stop being a f***ing clown. His stuff is too good for this kind of nonsense.

The Dodgers are no doubt a great team, but the Blue Jays didn't play anywhere near their potential.  So many free passes this series (over 20?) and couldn't string together a rally.  If anything that is a silver lining, in the sense that we eeked out a win despite the Hoffman implosion.  This team is good, just wasn't this series.

John Schneider deserves a lot of credit for being so aggressive with the pen today. He won them the game despite Hoffman trying to blow it twice. 

It's almost like Jeff bet on the Dodgers today.

This is what first place teams do. They don't win every series but they find a way to do things like avoiding getting swept on the road against the best team in baseball.

What a stressful game and what a way to finish it by Guerrero, Barger, Clement and Fluharty !!

you guys are tough on Shneider. I was scared he would let the game slip but he was agressive with the BP. Don’t forget this team is leading the AL and is 2nd in the entire league. It’s easy to criticize every single decision or move but overall he does way more good than bad.

If he takes Hoffman out for Nance then you are looking at Ohtani vs Nance bc of the 3 batter rule

he was just begging Hoffman to get an out and he couldn’t do it 

its 95 percent Hoffman’s fault and Schneider did go to Varland early which kept us in the game
