No there was rumours that SD wanted Duran from the sox and offered a package with devries.

I think the Blue Jays already have a reliable closer, but another pen arm would be a really nice addition to lengthen the pen further.

It would be nice to get another pen arm, but I don't think we really NEED one. I would like to see one big bat though. I think that's the last missing piece.

We need Bednar, even if this cost Nimmala and Tidermann.  Hoffman is so so this year, and he was awful with the Phillies during playoff. The only prospect in the farm Atkins shouldn't trade, are Yesevage and Parker.

Well he threw 59 pitches in his last rehab outing. Doesn't matter as long as he ready and on the bump come playoff time. 

With Bassitt and Mad Max on the way out I'm sure Atkins has something in the works. Maybe this will lead to an extension in the future?  

Atkins may have bagged the proverbial elephant with this move.

Ya I think we need a true elite bullpen arm.  Hoffman is better than his numbers show but hes also hasn't been good enough to be that guy. 

I just dont see this front office making it happen.  Hoffman literally landed in our lap after 2 failed physicals for them to get that type of arm.

No sure Atkins will want resigning Bassitt, because next year, we will have Bieber, Gausman,  Berrios, Lauer and Manoah or Tidermann. But I won't be surprised they bring back Scherzer for 1 year, if he's healthy.

No it means he doesnt prioritize elite bullpen arms.  Before Hoffman, Green was the biggest bullpen investment they made and that was because we got him after his majory injury. 

I also cant believe you choose to get offended when I made a generic comment.  It doesnt mean he still cant do it, was just giving my 2 cents based on his track record.  

Hope you wear kneepads and wipe your face after Atkins gets done with you lol.
