Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 Must not lose game tonight. Need a quality start from Berrios, Varsho will do the rest. Spanky99 and G-Snarls 2
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 Tonight's key to victory: The three home runs Berrios will inevitably give up all need to be solo shots. If he can do that the Jays will win.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 No Springer because 12 ABs is somehow a sample size now. Houck hasn't been sharp this year. I don't give a s*** if Springer is 0 for 12 against Houck, he should be playing. Schneider is such a moron.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 He's old and he's not exactly an ironman either. As good of a day as any to give him a breather.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 Having a chance to sweep the Red Sox on the road and resting Vlad in the final game (unrelated to injury as he pinch hit later in the game) was an act of a non-serious organization. Resting Springer is less egregious since he's old so he could be banged up or need more rest in general.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 It's pouring pretty heavy out there now. Good thing for the dome! Terminator 1

I think that was during that crazy stretch of games where we played 13 days in a row and 10 of them were on the road. I think they wanted to get Vlad back to TO healthy to for the press conference too.

It's a long season (there are 132 games left) and they have to get Springer to the finish line healthy to maximize his utility. Let him sit.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 That’s gone before the renos, tough luck for Kirk who is crushing the baseball right now.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2025 Posted May 1, 2025 108 mph loud single....the Captain is pulling them balls. Orgfiller 1
