I think a bigger issue here is the lack of power in the lineup. Obviously guys like Tony and Vlad will eventually start hitting some out, but there isn't much else beyond those two that you feel comfortable with from a power standpoint, and consistently needing 3-4 hits just to score is not sustainable. How they fix that is a big question. Varsho coming back will help.

There isn't much power outside the top 3.  It's among the several holes on this team. We knew this going into the season. Short of a couple of big surprises it's not going to change.

You don't want Barger rotting on the bench - he needs regular at bats, which aren't available on this team right now and won't be until they give up on Roden.

Schneider probably blows, but pinch hitting is always difficult, as it playing once every 4 days.

Don't forget Springer.  Everything he's hitting is hard.  Even his last AB was a 104.6 MPH lineout.  I think Springer could hit 30 bombs, 25 for sure.  If Vlad and Santander hit their 30+ and Bo knocks around 20 the power won't be awful like it was last year.

It is from a Jays attendance standpoint.  People may tune out far earlier than expected if the Jays don't do well to start.  Doesn't bode well to sustain a 275M payroll going forward...

Yeah I think the Jays have a couple possible 20+ HR candidates this season:

- Santander (30-40 HR)

- Vladdy (30-40 HR)

- Bo (around 25 HR)

- Springer (20-25 HR)

- Varsho (should be good for 20 HR though hopefully he gets back soon)

- maybe Gimenez (had 17 in 2022)

One more power bat who can either play LF or DH would be nice. If the Jays are in the Postseason hunt come July, hopefully they target a bat with some power. Otherwise would have to get creative with a trade. 

Right now, the team could definitely use some bullpen reinforcements. Adding another arm like David Robertson or Adam Ottovino would be huge and is much needed.

Makes ya wonder if Robertson has some medical issue. Seems very odd he hasn't had any looks from any of the fringe contenders who could all use pen upgrades.

Yeah weird no team has given him like $8-10M on a one-year deal.
