Trey was a decoy in game 4

Wouldn't put it past them for the Bo sore knee video to be a decoy

No Bo apparently.

Maybe this great misdirection will throw a massive monkey wrench into the plans of the unprepared Mariners.

Bo knows.... the IL.

So I cranked up the volume to hear what Bo said while sitting on the ground; nearest I could make out was that he said: "you saw that right?".

Some people slandering Bo because his pain tolerance is low than others due to an injury is beyond comprehension.

Unless someone here is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, saying that there is a difference from being hurt versus being injured is quiet laughable.

He is hurting likely because he has not FULLY recovered yet from an injury.  There is zero difference there.
Worse for someone to imply that this is for show is beyond stupidity.

We all hope Bo Bichette get well soon.

p.s.  I don’t have the M.D. credentials at the end of my name but I got this from my friend A.I. and I quote

“When you have a posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injury, running and turning aggressively to round a base places significant strain on the recovering ligament and should be avoided. High-speed changes of direction and hard stops put you at risk for reinjury and may worsen existing ligament laxity. The ability to return to rounding bases depends on the severity of your injury, the success of your rehabilitation, and your doctor's clearance”

“What happens when you round a base”

The mechanics of rounding a base involve a high-speed sprint followed by a sharp, cutting turn. This motion subjects the knee to substantial stress, particularly the forces the PCL is meant to stabilize”

I will not forgive that pathetic slide from Bo if our season ends and he cant comeback because of that.  Arrgghhh

At least the Jays listened to me and added Bassitt/Scherzer.

Blessing in disguise leaving Bo off the roster. This is the playoffs where good defence is magnified and can be expected. Bo hasn't seen live pitching in over a month, so expecting his bat to pick up where it left off is not realistic and can't be banked upon, at the top of the order no less. Bo is also considering his free agency and isn't interested in risking ripping up his knee going into the off season.

Pretty much what was expected except for the Scherzer/Nance decision.

Hopefully we never have a reason to see Max. Unless we're killing them of course

Pretty shocking that people here don’t understand how good Max could be in a 2 or 3 inning stint in the middle of a ball game. He’s not going to be starting. He has been working on mechanics and not tipping. His stuff overall still looks decent and his Fastball probably plays up in a relief role.

At the very least he can do what Tommy Nance did in the ALDS which was look extremely mediocre.

Thats exactly what I said too but a few were trying to argue otherwise.  Everyone's judging Scherzer as a starter where he had to give us multiple innings.

Lets see how he looks when asked to get 3 batters... if he sucks then he's performing the same as Nance.  If he turns the clock back then we're eating well.

I hope you didn't just ask chat gpt or google ai for that answer.

They also said my new deck would be $8,000 and the quotes I got were all $30k plus.

Nance was a solid pitcher. He was rusty, understandably, like almost our entire pen.

Bo has likely played his last game as a Blue Jay.

Yeah thats what I was thinking a couple weeks back when they were being wishy washy on him being ready for the ALDS. Their projected/estimated recovery time has clearly been way off.

I don't think Bo would have played a single inning in the field coming back from a knee strain, but if would have certainly complicated the outfield defensive situation. I think the Trajekt machines that offer full speed MLB quality pitches could allow him to largely step right back into the lineup if/when the knee is sufficiently healed to let him run the bases and swing with full intensity.

I'm not that surprised with Scherzer over Nance. He's had some rest so it's possible he's back to where he was at for earlier starts. Doesn't sound like Bassitt can pitch more than 4 IP, so wouldn't be surprised to see Scherzer for 3 IP in game 4

Could we theoretically send Bo to the Arizona Fall League for rehab games to prepare him for the World Series. I feel like I remember Jeff McNeil doing it a few years ago but could be wrong.

He will play and he will like it.  We should be moving towards yearly contracts.  Prorated per games played.  You don't play you don't get paid.

You truly don't know the basics of baseball contracts do you....

I would be surprised if any starter gets more than two times through the batting order.

Alot of that will be dictated by the score and who's coming up in the Mariner's lineup next inning.
