The smart teams are making it look like their MLB teams are losing money while raking in profits through ownership stakes in TV networks and restaurants, bars, casinos and development deals near their stadiums.

So much opportunity for the team in Vegas

BTW are they going to change their team name or have they decided yet?

Polanco as a 1B/DH eww.

Should have signed someone like Ozuna or O'Hearn if they wanted a cheap DH on a one-year deal.

Its pretty clear the Mets have no clue how to build a baseball team. Landing Soto and bringing back Alonso last off season, and then collapsing and missing the playoffs was a perfect result. All they know how to do is throw big money around, hopefully players are wising up.

You can still get paid well but not end up burnt beyond recognition amidst a gigantic tire fire if you steer clear of the Mets.

Friars podcast guys said the rumor of Lindor to the Padres has legs. Maybe this is his replacement?

The most Mets thing ever would be trading a prime future first ballot HoFer for no reason

Anything more than $10M AAV would be eww.

He'll likely remain the closer the entire season even if he's pitching bad for the Tigers. Not really a huge upgrade to their pen at all.

Im honestly so glad Cohen and his arrogant ass couldn’t just come in a build a good team through free agency/throwing money around.

Dude does not understand baseball, a team is built from the minor leagues first and foremost.

The Phillies could show up in June and still win the east, but then they will still get bounced in the first round

Phillies success will rely on the health of Zach Wheeler. They also need Aaron Nola to bounce back and hope Luzardo and Sanchez both keep pitching at a high level like they did in 2025. They don't really need another front of the rotation starter, but probably someone who is durable and an innings eater. Bassitt would fit perfectly in Philly's rotation. Keep Walker as a swingman.

Bullpen: could add some more depth, but they have some elite guys at the back-end like Duran, Strahm and Kerkering. Definitely needs more depth. After those three, bullpen sucks.

Bats: aging core but still very solid if healthy. They need another corner OF, and they need an everyday catcher.  They should also look at dumping Casty if they can. So still some major holes in that lineup and defensively.
