White Sox got f***ing hosed

Yeah the Cardinals should have been throwing in another prospect right? Wild that they got Fedde and Pham for just Edman.

Watch Atkins not be able to trade the expiring contracts or has to take s*** because he couldn't get deals done earlier. A final FU on his way out the door.

What is the point of this type of speculation? We've already made 3 trades and moved 2 of the expiring contracts. It's really just Kikucci left to move, plus Turner if anyone wants him (which is unlikely).

Small nitpick, it's Kikuchi, not Kikucci. Thank you kindly and carry on.

This dude is reporting that Jays are asking for Justin Wrobelski from the Dodgers in return for Kikuchi. Same dude who had IKF to the Jays before anyone else, so he clearly has sources

Another rebuild after another rebuild just 4 seasons ago? Good luck, Rogers. Nobody is watching anymore except my dumbass.

They got 4 players/specs

They got Miguel Vargas tunnel vision

They threw in Kopech for no reason

Just seems like they got taken advantage of

Is Kopech anything really? -1.1 WAR over the past 2 seasons. Reclamation project for someone, just like Big Nate was.

It's too bad Romano is a wild card if he'll return. Could have been a decent haul for him even on a down/injured year.

Doesn’t look to me like they are rebuilding just yet. They’re not getting rid of anyone good with control for 2025.

Not exactly sure what you’re expecting

So what's left from my opening post, just Richards and Kuch? Kuch will be gone before breakfast tomorrow and Richards I'm actually shocked a team hasn't acquired him yet. Keirmaier, who knows now?

Too soon? I think not. Last year it was started even earlier in July and was highlighted by the Jays acquisition of Paul Dejong:p.

This year's deadline can/will impact the direction of this franchise for near future. All that remains is how aggressive the Jays will be .

Some of the no brainer moves should involve:

Richards

Garcia

Kikuchi

Jansen

The four above absolutely must be moved and in a sellers market there will be demand.

Also to be moved with no expectation of tangible return should be:

Keirmaier

Turner

Just get what you can and move some payroll if possible.

A Bichette trade will be seismic but unlikely based on Atkins recent comments.

Gausman and Bassitt should be on the block but who knows.

I assume Shapiro and co. will have a firm hand on the wheel for this trade deadline so it might be different. Not an all out fire-sale but There Will Be Blood.

Really only Kikuchi and Green left if they keep Bo and just release KK.

It will be that let down feeling after you open presents in the morning at Christmas..

I forgot to add the possibility of IFK.

If the M's aren't picking up all of Turner's money (looks like they aren't), then the Jays might need to move one of Green or IKF to get below the luxury tax. I can't see the Jays wanting to be a tax team in 2024. Resetting the penalties will help them as they go 2015 AA this winter, so I think they end up moving Green or IKF (preferably both, but that's asking too much).

Last I read was that the M's were paying his entire salary. But even so, don't forget that Kikuchi is likely to move too.

I have a feeling IKF is part of the plan for 2025. Don't see him moving. Too versatile at this point. Let's see

I think you gotta move IKF. He's riding a career high wRC+ right now and there are contenders desperate for someone like him (like Atlanta). You can probably get a really good return for him and backfill comfortably in free agency or even internally (Leo Jimenez)

What is now considered a good return? Cause we haven't seen it yet.

I'm sure they're working on it, his injury is definitely a hindrance.

I like the Quinn Priester for Nick Yorke trade for both teams. I think the Red Sox did well getting a SP with upside if he can be tweaked.

Damn, that happened, was it straight up?

Yup, preferably both, but I'm not holding my breath. I think Green is moving and they'll get under the luxury tax.

Si Senor

Nice, Pitt can afford that with their pitching depth, the bats haven't clicked with all the young guys yet and Yorke should help soon, nice trade for both sides.
