Spanky BORED team was on the clear steep decline. Even retooling, I probably still beat him.

Doubtful, you demonstrated yourself to be terrible at dynasty baseball

They were rebuilds my friend. Sometimes they come together quicker than others. The pieces are there. If that was BTS in charge of that team, it’d be a title contender now.

Hey Spanky, I am beating you in all 5 leagues we are in together, lol.

Even at my peak, I wasn’t think much into it. I feel like it starts to water down at a certain point where you start having matchups where you’re rooting for and against a bunch of players at the same time

You don't have the chops. Period.

well yea it's xba which of course has a limited # of variables, the outfielder could have been standing right at the fence vs playing shallow and having to sprint a long way to get to the wall. it was still a great catch

That’s why it’s kind of dumb. I remember many a games with the Jays smoking balls up the middle vs Tampa Bay and Adames is right there for an easy out.

only posted it because the ball was caught over the fence, otherwise yea I'm not looking at that stat

Your bald statements are meaningless. If Butker impacts on NFL revenue, he risks being out of a job, just like Bauer. And Kaepernick.

He is impacting NFL revenue. He has the best selling jersey in the league right now.

Just finished reading Jason Turbow's book about the 1970s A's. Really, really good read. It's insane how dysfunctional the entire team was, and the owner was a lunatic. Edited by BTS

holy f*** elly de la cruz might actually steal 100+ bases

I thought the same thing this morning he’s already at 30! That’s wild

Lol in his career he had 31 steals in 105 games with zero ABs

I know teams kept designated pinch runners like this around but I didn't know any of them were that extreme. I kind of wish we would try it again with the new rules instead of carrying Vogelbach.

Tom Lawless was one of the more famous pinch runner types. He's famous for hitting a home run in the 87 WS and having an epic bat flip after.

Old baseball is wild. This guy was a high school track star that the A's owner signed right to the MLB team with no baseball experience. He even sucked at baserunning because he had no experience at all with it.

Looping it back to baseball, this is what’s so f***ing annoying and what every other league gets. It’s a very tiny piece of the pie that never wants Bauer to play baseball again. They’re the cucks anyway and they may say they’ll never watch baseball again, but they will if they did before. It’s a bunch of crap.

I figured at some point Bauer was going to get more vocal, as it becomes more clear there’s collusion going on. I’m not saying he’ll be able to win a lawsuit, but there will be more Twitter fireworks for sure

was just gonna say, he didn't even have a good success rate!!!

Skenes and Jones are a nasty 1-2 punch

Ya they really are. I think both guys are even better than expected

It’s funny, I remember this winter there were reports Skenes fastball was overrated LOL

Posted
Man, who has the worse GM, Jays or SF? I don’t know much about SF’s GM but boy, how many times can you whiff in an off-season on signings.
Posted
Skenes had a no hitter through 6 but was also at 100 pitches so was taken out. 11K's

Hopefully for the baseball fans, he holds up. I remember watching Strasburg’s early starts and it was like video game s*** with balls dropping like 2ft an inch ahead of the plate.

Was just discussing this, he does have a weird arm motion - throws from below 3/4, so who knows. IMO MLB needs to take arm injuries way more seriously - get outside help. It is impacting the game

I haven’t really read studies, and not trying to play doctor, but I’d imagine more so than the narrative that it’s the “max effort” stuff, I’d think it probably has more to do with kids playing competitive travel bb starting from 6, often multiple travel teams at the same time, especially the kids with ML talent. And theres no other game changer even close to a SP in the 6u-18u world. You want them in all the big games

Yes.

American Sports Medicine Institute have researched this to death. They have all the data (and recommendations):

Yeah, but kind of a deaf ears thing. The kids are playing year round for different teams, changing coaches every year, and also working with trainers and baseball factories. This is the path of the professional athlete now. Getting to that top rung takes a lot. So it kind of is what it is.

and today the Dodgers announced Sheehan TJ surgery; the Dodgers and the Rays with many of their pitchers on the IL could put together 2 pitching staffs - maybe even an all star caliber rotation

Baz

McClanahan

Pepoit

Rasmussen

Springs

Miller

May

Sheehan

Hurt

Kershaw

Gonsolin

Soto with his 10th home run......Judge and Soto are carrying that team

Judge wRC+ 176

Soto wRC+ 164

......

Volpe 126

Verdugo 113

it's really just those 2

This is what we needed from Bo and Vlady

Springer 120 wRC+

Kirk 110 wRC+

Where is this team if that's what we get from that group of hitters, and those shouldn't be unrealistic expectations.
