Laika Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 He's been money for the Braves this season. Loved that signing and he's healthy now. Nice gamble by the Braves. Trade?
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Trade? Yeah sorry. Thanks for the correction!
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Cole But yeah Right, forgot Cole. Then I guess it's Wheeler and Nola? But they're way behind Sale in pretty much everything. Then it's the cohort of arms that all look like longshots to even hit 2000 innings.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 He's been money for the Braves this season. Loved that trade and he's healthy now. Nice gamble by the Braves. 5-1, 10.97 K/9, 1.69 BB/9, 2.95 ERA, 2.62 FIP, 1.2 fWAR and 52 K's in 42.2 innings over 7 starts. Looking great tonight against the Cubs as well. I hope he holds up this year and next and the Braves end up picking up the 2026 option. It's fun when guys finish their career strong and make a HoF case.

Burnes or Cease or Gallen (a bit old already) Logan Webb on track sort of Logan Gilbert or George Kirby Some candidates but the injury risk is just so high with pitchers these days. The first three need to basically never get hurt again and stay elite for another 7 years. Funny thing is NOBODY thought Sale would hold up and supply these innings. Some 25 year old from right now will end up with his numbers. I think George Kirby could be the best SP in baseball so he's my bet

Needs to pitch at an elite level for 6 to 7 years. Others could be Cease, Burnes, and Gallen like Laika mentioned. Maybe Luis Castillo. I would also throw Gausman into the mix. He's a bit older than those names, but has 31.3 career fWAR thus far. If he continues to have a couple more elite 5 WAR seasons, he gets above 50 career WAR. He needs to still pitch well and elite into his late 30's though.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Erick Fedde has a 2.60 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 50:14 K:BB through 52 innings with a 3.88 FIP and 0.9 fWAR. White Sox got themselves a nice trade chip if he keeps this up.

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 10 game suspension for Blanco. Would a position player only receive a 2 game suspension then? Seems light
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Another case of Astros cheating Mfer with the no no against us.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Would a position player only receive a 2 game suspension then? Seems light Not sure, the 10 games for a pitcher is automatic.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Mfer with the no no against us. To be fair, I don't think you would need to cheat to get a no no against the Jays.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Mfer with the no no against us. he got sloppy and got caught
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Chapman is so good at 3B, his foot work, glove, transfer and throw - silky smooth
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Matos just took a home run away from Teo, xBA of .980
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Matos just took a home run away from Teo, xBA of .980 X stats are stupid
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 X stats are stupid Why are they stupid?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Why are they stupid? I didn’t see the play in question, but I’d have a hard time believing many plays only get made 2 out of 100 times

Laika Community Moderator Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 that's one of the best connorp dunks ever and i say this as the undisputed king of connorp slams
