Who isn't giving him respect?

He probably made a positive comment about Bassitt at one point and is desperately searching for an opportunity to bring it up. That's typically what these types of posts from insecure people are about. Your buddy c-poop does the same thing sometimes.

The guy is on a historic run, he's getting nothing but respect from everyone.

I take my licks when I miss. I don’t backtrack. I have plenty of current “wins” over the majority in terms of Jansen and Biggio, but if I’m wrong I’ll admit it like thinking Manoah would have like 3.30 ERA at worst or KK would be hitting .230 at best

I was pro CB. Most were but there were some naysayers, would be easy to find. But I think CD may be referring to when he was getting buried an early grave when he came out shooting blanks. That was kind of a brief velocity fueled breakdown though

I know how he feels about Bassitt, he was calling for us to sign him and trade for Varsho before we acquired them, I just don't get the respect part.

You're dumb as a stump and rarely ever get anything right, I guess when you throw enough s*** at a wall you'll get something right.

That's 27 straight scoreless innings for Bassitt

That's the longest for a Blue Jays pitcher since Clemens in 1998

Chris Bassitt - AL Pitcher of the Month for May! Said it last week!

You said it Monday after throwing a CG SO and hadn't gave an earnie in over 16 innings, lmao.

Bassitt is fun to watch. That Stripling deal is looking pretty gross.

Picking Gausman and Bassitt over Ray and Stripling is looking pretty excellent if those were the main choices each time

If only Manoah hadn't turned into a complete bag of useless s***, we'd have one hell of a rotation going. Especially with Berrios and Kooch somewhat bouncing back to respectable form.

Bassitt is hotter than the Rays, but we are a long way from the end of 3/65. Ryu was really good at the start too. Lets hope he keeps a semblance of this up.

When all is stuff is working its special. I was at the game last night. Wonky delivery and from 69-94 MPH. Pretty wild. The play he made at 1st shows what a ferocious competitor he is. I like it.

If we did get Strip it would have likely been a 1 yr QO overpay. We never made the QO. He has been s*** for SFG so far.

I know he has his haters on this board but Atkins pulled all the right levers on those deals. Also I don’t think we’ve seen anything close to peak Varsho. Give Ross some credit there.

You'll never win 100% of your trades and you definitely won't hit on 100% of your FA deals (especially if you sign bigger contracts) but I think Atkins' trades and FA signings have both been very good on the whole.

It's also great that big free agents in the 1B/2 class are willing to sign here now. Springer, Ryu, Gausman, Keirmaeier, etc.

They'll never likely give a 30 year old FA a Bryce Harper contract (thank God) but it feels like the 90's again where this is an attractive place to be

Feels good man. Now we just have to do some winning to help maintain it.

Jays medical staff: Are there any problems at all with the shoulder? Any pain, stiffness? etc?

White: No not really, just really trying to get to speed. I feel good.

Jays Doctor: Glad you feel that way but there's obviously something still bothering you because youre pitching like s*** so, must be some discomfort still ingering...

White: No really, I feel great, just need some more reps

*Jays Doctor smacks him in the shoulder with a hammer*

How about now? Little bit of pain still I see. Okay, we'll shut you down and keep you from embarrassing the front office a little longer.

I knew Vlad and Chapman's OAA was that bad this season, but holy... In terms of OAA, Vlad is one of the worst 1B in the league, and Chapman is below average (negative OAA).

Doesn’t really make much sense to me. I do think Chapman has taken a step back defensively this year but there’s no way he’s below average

Its one of those stats that just indicates he's having a down first couple of month. He has definitely missed some plays with the glove that you would expcet him to make. Last nights game awas one example, there was another one a few games ago where balls are just getting by him that you would normally think were automatic for him.

Vlad has seemed pretty on point though, can’t remember any errors from him really

I honestly think 1b get the royal shaft on D metrics.

Sabr shmaber. If you watch grass roots baseball even, 1b D matters. Stretching, scooping, getting a jump on balls hit to the holes. WAR dumb system with 1b

Should've pitched around the guy, imo.

It'd be nice to see a big series like that against a division rival from Vlad.

I know he played well in the first series vs. the Yanks, but still. Seven homers (and zero at home) going into the May long weekend is a little disappointing.

No, we should have just plunked him.

He's having a good season thus far, wRC+ 150.
