L54 Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Cost certainty. And I’d rather see the Nats spending some cash and committing to a young player than sit on their wallets like other teams. Pretty low risk move on their part, he’ll almost certainly be worth at 5 or 6 AAV for that entire deal
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Thats f***ing crazy… has to be the largest contract ever for a guy with only like 50 MLB games
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Thats f***ing crazy… has to be the largest contract ever for a guy with only like 50 MLB games Like Eloy’s contract by $30m for a couple years of FA. Could be a great deal. Obvious could go the other way. I would’ve been good with it for Vlad
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Moreno has a couple of Homers in a few games he's played already. Part of me wishes him, Gurriel and Teo well because they seemed like great guys but part of me will be heartbroken if they have an amazing season.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 I’m still pissed off that you guys think extending Keibert Ruiz for 8 years is a good move Really chaps my ass
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 That’s so ridiculous lol Little league s***
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 The opposing manager should've refused to accept that strike and stand up for the integrity of the game. Missed opportunity.
AMS528 Verified Member Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 You know the ump has done something ridiculous when the opposing catcher is both surprised, and then goes to save the batter from doing anything rash.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 At least they've suspended the umpire indefinitely.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 I’m still pissed off that you guys think extending Keibert Ruiz for 8 years is a good move Really chaps my ass They would have paid basically that for any catchers over the next eight years. If they commit it to Ruiz at least they've locked in a guy with upside and bought two free agent years or three
