JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 How long are we going to have to deal with this Tapia love? Expect daily stupidity with Montoyo.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 How long are we going to have to deal with this Tapia love? Until we get someone better and Tapia is punted off the roster
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Why isn't Ryu starting tonight? The starters need an extra rest day for some reason… even though Monday is an offday. Yeah I agree it makes no sense.

Signal Verified Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 It is weird. I always thought the Jays had a deep and scary lineup, but over the past few days, I look at the lineup and it looks real thin, like very thin. I know there are injuries...but damn, the bench looks like s*** and you notice it when they are included in the lineup. Is it possible the Jays bench is one of the weakest in the entire league or am I just over-reacting to complete lack of early production.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 How long are we going to have to deal with this Tapia love? As long as Charlie is employed.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Oh man a Stripling-Collins battery tonight. Better score some runs tonight boys.

I think it is a relatively weak bench, but the lineup looks thin right now because Chapman, Gurriel, Biggio, Kirk, etc aren’t hitting a lick
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Brett Gardner is still a FA. Asdrubal Cabrera and Eric Sogard would be nice bats off the bench as well and both can play around the diamond.

BuckHenry Verified Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Good idea to DH Vladdy and give him a day off from 1st … last year whenever Biggio played there , he looked OK ; hopefully the offence gets going tonite .
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Anyone else see the resemblance between Tapia and the Alien in Predator? Every game I start seeing that…. Get to the Choppppppaaaaa!
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 I would take Gardner over the other options right now. I think I would hate him less and actually like him if he had those annoying grind out at-bats for us. Assdribble as a Jay could work as well. I still want to see Biggio get a legit chance though.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 I would take Gardner in a heartbeat right now. Tapia has that effect on me.
M.E. Verified Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 A’s likely to get a pissed off Vlad after the sombrero last night.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Who we cheering for tonight, boys and girls?
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 I'd personally take Grichuk over Tapia and hoped we get hot Grichuk. Then traded his ass for something good while he was hot lol. Knock him all you want but he helped carry the team to begin last season. That is something Tapia will never be able to do. Instead we took the cheap route to save 5M next season while hurting our team on the field in a win year. At least put the money back towards the team already!!

Knock him all you want but he helped carry the team to begin last season. That is something Tapia will never be able to do. They wanted his money off the books for next season. They pretty much ate the money he was owed this year. I think they should just cut ties with Tapia but they want to attempt to get value out of him. Grichuk definitely has more power but he wouldn’t be helping this club much more right now.
Signal Verified Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 A’s likely to get a pissed off Vlad after the sombrero last night. Yes, but if they are smart they will not pitch to him. No one there to protect him. HATE this lineup.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Here we are complaining about our how lineup and the As are using Mckinney as their cleanup hitter lol

We are the only MLB team that self-handicaps. Why do people keep forgetting that Spring Training was like a week and a half? The Dodgers took out Kershaw with a perfect game going through 7, but yes the Blue Jays are the only team doing weird stuff with their pitching lol.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
