Lets hope people don’t try to chase Pete Walker out of town. Ultimately what he did was stupid and I would like to hear the context of the situation. But he’s very good at what he does and hes not exactly replaceable at the moment. I know people who have got DUI’s Saturday morning after trying to sleep off a Drunk Friday Night. I don’t feel people who actually attempt to not drive drunk but can still blow over should be held to the same standard of people who just jump into their cars piss hammered.

I see more cops first thing weekend mornings than I do at night. They know exactly what they are doing.

Will probably never get the true 100% context though. He drove, went way too fast, got pulled over and the cops could smell the alcohol on him, did a field sobriety test, which he failed, and they arrested and charged him. He bonded out for 500$. While at the station he admitted to having drank 4 beers earlier in the night at a bar/restaurant. That's probably all the context we'll ever get.

I'm not much of a drinker but if you are intoxicated why would you break any traffic rules? Stay between the lines, stop completely at all stop signs and lights, and follow the speed limit.

That’s basically what a person that’s just tipsy or less will do

Yeah, I have no patience for this type of ********. I don't know what the Jays will do, but I won't blame them if they cut him loose.

Astros probably watching this story closely.

I think if it leaned towards termination they’d make him go away from the team though? Idk. The fact that he’s making a statement after the game kind of seems like they’re going to move forward

So is the field sobriety test, walk the line. Touch your nose? In Canada we just make you blow. It was the morning, so he was still intoxicated from the night before. Hopefully his Blood Alcohol level wasn't too high when he got to the station.

There is no way that the Jays are going to ditch Pete Walker over this. There's a small chance he could have an issue getting into Canada, which would complicate things, but to suggest that they'd cut ties over something like this is laughable.

I didn’t know that detail when I reacted. If that’s true that’s pretty outrageous. I would be fine with a lengthy suspension.

If you got a DUI and worked for a private business, would you lose your job or get suspended? Why should the blue jays suspend him for something outside of work? It's not like he has sexual assault claims or something similar against him, in which case he would be in the NFL and not suspended, but just curious as to your reasoning? Also, slightly off topic but Canada needs to strengthen its laws for DUIs vehicular manslaughter. Just crazy that you can kill someone and get out in 4 years.

He got pulled over 12am. I thought it was 2am. But still not “morning” (maybe technically? Lol)

If Reese can spank it in public and stick around my guess is Pete isn't going anywhere

Idk. His thing was kind of just awkward. Like if he whipped it out in public truly, I mean, that’d be something different. But in his car kind of comes of as more sad, or weird..or something.

Reese wasn't going to potentially kill people by waxing his carrot.

Was there ever any context? Like did he just leave a date?

For all we know he might be the classiest dude in the world and let the girl hide so she didn’t get shamed for giving head in public. People are so quick to judge.

Hatch, Kay, and Palacios mildly surprising first cuts.

No he was late getting here due to Visa issues.

We were all hoping to get a look at him, but that's ok, we'll see him at Rogers Centre soon enough.

I thought Orelvis might get a bit more time. Every time I looked at a game, there he was. He's my guess for the next break through star with Moreno.

I expected more Hatch but he seems to have been hurt. and needs stretching out. He'll probably be one of the first call ups.

Oh and I hate watching Katoh at bat. His swing is horrible.

I honestly expected Kay, Hatch and Palacios to get a bit more time albeit getting sent back down. I guess it makes sense though, not a lot of time left and regulars need more work.

Just because they've been cut from the big league camp doesn't mean they can't appear in Spring Training games.

I think we see Moreno get a few at-bats at least.

Projection systems really seem to be underrating our OF. According to ZiPS:

Teoscar Hernandez - 2.0 fWAR

George Springer - 3.3 fWAR

Realistically, it should be something like this (assuming everyone stays relatively healthy):

Tesocar Hernandez - 3.5 fWAR

George Springer - 5.0 fWAR

Lourdes, I understand has quite a bit of variance associated with him. I think he'll outperform his projection (1.8 fWAR), but George Springers 162 game average over his career is 5.6 fWAR. Even if 5 WAR is too lofty, he should have at least a 4-4.5 projection.
