That's a pretty steep price

 

A full year of a healthy Biggio and Kirk might provide more WAR than Ketel would so it doesn't make much sense for Toronto to do that.

I think there's a 1% chance they move Alcantara or Rogers. That leaves Pablo Lopez, who's had a few too many shoulder injuries for my liking (unless that factors into the cost of course).

 

Edward Cabrera, Sixto (shoulder injury), Braxton Garrett - way more risk with these guys - wonder if Miami would consider trading them.

If biggio is part of that trade, I’d assume Espinal holds down third until Moreno is ready. Or since Marte is cheap, you could try to sign Bryant for third

Rosenthal suggesting the Mets still want to bring Baez back. That was before they signed Marte so not sure if it still applies, but if Baez/Lindor/Escobar is their IF, then a more interesting target might be McNeil. A LH bat who can play 2B/3B (not sure how he looks defensively), and is coming off a down season where he had a public fight with their new star.

I do like Biggio and think he’s a good role player on the team. I just think he has better value as a trade piece and would help us hold onto one of our better prospects in any deal. I wouldn’t be upset if we held onto him either, though.
