I'm still in awe that our lineup can look decent without Springer, Vlad, Semien and Biggio in there.

Kay's so lucky that the Yankees haven't scored yet. He's getting hit hard.

Also, this website keeps crashing today. Figure your stuff out pls lol.

multiple pitches within the zone for the Jays pitchers that would have been strike three called balls. A ball 4 or 5 inches off the plate to Kirk called strike 3! These umps are in mid season form!

Good performance from Stripling. Just not sure how much to take from it since there's massive difference between the Tigers spring training lineup vs Yankees lineup he'll probably face in the regular season.

Take nothing from it, just as you should take nothing from the spring training performance of any MLB veteran. Look at their performance history over several years in MLB, instead.

I am soooo ready for regular season games...

Especially now:

So Borucki touched 98 mph on his fastball today, alongside a 90 mph cutter/slider.

He’s still having trouble harnessing the new found velocity and movement, but if he can figure out how to locate effectively, he really could be a weapon out of the bullpen.

Wow, how does that happen? Wasn't he a 90-91 mph fastball guy a couple years ago?

Think he was up to 94 or 95 before going down to injury. Adding a few mph out of the pen isn't unusual, so it wouldn't surprise me.

He averaged 92 as a starter, touching 94 or 95 sometimes like Abom said. It's very common for pitchers who are starters to add velocity once they start coming out of the bullpen since you can throw every pitch at max effort.

I don't expect much from Roark, but who knows. Ray probably only misses 1 or 2 starts and Zeuch has been good when called upon so we'll be fine until something more long term crops up.
