I don't understand the "showed a lot of interested" but never made an offer thing. Guy signed for a 1/8.5 deal so if there was genuine interest, an offer would have been made. Were they expecting a minor league deal here? Sounds like the Jays like to lead some players on lol.

There was probably lots of verbal discuss on term, length, options, etc. but we probably never got close enough to formalize an offer. This s*** happens all the time man.

-They did not ask federal government to play in Toronto. They realize the landscape.

-Team will play in Dunedin through May if no border changes.

-From there, they go to Buffalo (or Toronto) when FLA heat becomes too much.

-FLA/BUF/TOR the options.

On video call that just wrapped up, #Bluejays prez/CEO Mark Shapiro says: "The alternatives for our season lie in some combination of Dunedin, Buffalo & Toronto." Says a move to Sahlen Field would require "a more lasting and permanent solution" here than what was used last year.
