    The Bad: Vlad leaves as a free agent. The Good: If the above happens: Atkins and Shapiro gets canned! Note: how will the fickle fanbase react if Vlad leaves as a F.A., will they just become totally uninterested in the Jays??

    Not sure if Horowitz and Espinal would really move the needle unless the prospect is a top 5 in the Jays organization.

    I suspect Ohtani is extremely comfortable being the Alpha bat in the lineup, probably a lot more than Vladdy. if he does sign with the Jays would we see Vladdy become the player everyone suspects he can be without the pressure on him?

    IMHO, that 10 team list was just intended to squeeze some extra money out of those teams. Most teams listed from what I read are usually the big spenders. Smart move on his agents part.

    I rather have him start a few more times in AA, yeah he may have corrected a few things but how engrained are they? You dont practice till you get things right, you practice till you dont get them wrong ever again. Eating some humble pie and making him hungry isnt a bad thing.... oh weight we're talking Manoah here!

    One would hope they tried to trade Kirk instead with maybe a prospect or other type of assets thrown in to make the trade more attractive but we will never know. Like others, Im just not sure about Kirks longevity.

    The Yankees are as close to the Jays in standings now as they will be all season. Bigger worry are the Os and Ray's in that order. I suspect the Os will probably use some prospect collateral to acquire some starting pitching.

    Im fine with that if it gets his mind off why he's there in the first place! As a rightfielder he makes a great DH!

    If they did it probably be with a huge failure rate vs AL East teams. Love the balance schedule!

    Jays coming up to a month into the season with having played a heavy road schedule vs top competition have played at a 101 win rate. That's even without any real win streak or a series sweep. I sense the Jays will be ok this season...just stay healthy.
