G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 My god the Mets are a mess Zack Scott has been placed on administrative leave
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Zack Scott has been placed on administrative leave The Mets brand looks horrible right now, six months after all the hype and trades and Lindor. Brutal.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Juan Soto doing things to Philly!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Juan Soto doing things to Philly! NL East is such a hot mess
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Juan Soto doing things to Philly! I love that the Braves looked completely broken in the middle of the year and have somehow McGyvered a new team together and really look like they're going to post a good enough W-L to take that division.

Yes, I've been rooting for them to take that division all year. They won't be caught. As G-Snarls said, there's much f***ery in that Division.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 4 teams in the AL East have a winning percentage as good or higher than the NL East leading Braves It just makes the Phillies and Mets look that much more pathetic, which I love.

RobinThicc Verified Member Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Jays should trade for Soto

Such a joke division
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Jays should trade for Soto Austin Martin, Woods-Richardson, Riley Adams, D'Orazzio, Perdoma, and Griffin Conine.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Austin Martin, Woods-Richardson, Riley Adams, D'Orazzio, Perdoma, and Griffin Conine. I am sure that doesn't really work, can't just go 7-1 for the best hitter in baseball, unless Austin Martin really turned the power on and Woods-Richardson didn't have a 5.x ERA... I guess I'm still sour about this. How did 1.3 years of Marcus Stroman plus the 5th overall pick go back to 1.3 years of Marcus Stroman?
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 C'mon Tampa, help a brother out, man.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Austin Martin, Woods-Richardson, Riley Adams, D'Orazzio, Perdoma, and Griffin Conine. They piss themselves laughing and hang up with that offer, you be you Olerud.
King Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 Wander Franco has decided there will be no more strikeouts, apparently.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 Looks like Franco with a real bad case of tinnitus. Takes himself out of the game after extending his streak.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 Holy f*** Pirates just made the worst error i’ve seen this year. Tie game, bottom 11, runners on the corners, easy infield popup and Difo misses it. Cubs score and win. Unbelievable.
Bluebombers Verified Member Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 I think the wild card games are hugely exciting, even when your teams not even in it. Also great, College football playoff games! Sometimes change is necessary and works out better.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 So Tampa got shut out on 5 hits by two scrubs.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 I think the wild card games are hugely exciting, even when your teams not even in it. Honestly, if the Jays aren't going to make it (spoiler: they won't), then I'm more than fine with a Yankees/Red Sox Wild Card game. Two historic franchises, winner take all, and will generate a lot of buzz. Obviously I'd prefer the Jays being there over the Red Sox, but run differential doesn't guarantee playoff spots unfortunately.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 What happened to Patrick Corbin?
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 What happened to Patrick Corbin? He lost his slider. It's kind of weird. Velocity is not down but the break on his slider and the whiff% changes last year. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/a-potential-fix-for-patrick-corbin/ He might be fixable!
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 "Janson Junk will be called up to the Angels on Friday, MLB.com freelancer Matt Kardos reports." Is there a better pitcher name in the game than Janson Junk? Hopefully he throws 88 mph poo

Like he probably doesn’t have a garage full of exotic cars where he hardly puts any miles on the sentimental truck Basically should read: I don’t need to ever trade in or sell my first car cause I’m f***ing loaded lol Edited September 4, 2021 by connorp
