These poor bastards cant even use the ol' sticky substance ban excuse. At least with Yelich since 2019 he really has battled injuries and his bat is still 110+. Far cry from 2019. Bellinger just seems to have a massive hole in his swing thats now gotten exploited over and over. He cant get to anything up in the zone. On a much smaller scale, Biggio is in kinda the same boat.

Bellinger's case is so odd... he had like 3 full seasons worth of great-elite production and now he's a bumpkin. It took the league 3 years to find his weakness? Odd

His right shoulder is f***ed, bro.

Tatis’ left shoulder has been f***ed all season and he seems to be doing fine... I also remember Bautista played through a bad shoulder and was able to hit.

I know Belly dislocated his shoulder in the WS last year but I would have thought he’d get it fixed up in the offseason to at least be able to contribute SOMETHING in 2021...

Not every shoulder injury is the same. He will likely get some further procedure done in the offseason.

If it's affecting him this bad - why the f*** is he still playing? Surely to god if that answer is he can't swing and perform due to his shoulder, they would shut him down and get the surgery now. It's such a sad situation.

Bellinger said he does not have full range of movement in the shoulder. I assume medical staff have said playing will not make it worse.

Maybe all it will take is a full offseason of physical therapy, stretching, etc.

Guy I’m matched up against in fantasy has Brad Hand and I saw the NA flag and assumed he was DFA’d.

Isn't that a 12 team league, and someone's rostering Hand? Wow!

Yeah some people only roster a couple elite SP and then stack up on elite RP (which I guess Hand used to be but guy just didn’t cut him yet).

I'll never get over that Hosmer deal. Lindor Mets deal will be right up there with it. If someone overpays Baez that deal will also rise to that to that illustrious level.

Lindor is better than Hosmer at every single aspect of baseball. The Hosmer deal was uniquely stupid.

True, but signing Lindor for that long when there were going to be 5 other legit SS's on the free agent market (Correa, Seager, Story, Semien, Baez) was definitely unnecessary and could be really bad long term.

Not Hosmer bad, but really damn bad.

Aaron Boone loses his mind ,screaming in the umpires face when Yankees get a ball called a strike AGAINST them.

SAME s*** happens to the Jays EVERY game and Charles in charge sits there like a f***ing garden gnome

Even the homer Yankee commentators were shocked. Odor clearly had his feet off the bag, safe 100%.

It was because the runner should have been out at 2nd earlier on an umpire butchered call.

It looked really bad and stinks and of course favours yankees

The Rays have now outscored their opponents by 121 runs....in the 7th, 8th and 9th innings. That is some insane voodoo s***

Not voodoo. It's called having an elite bullpen. In fact, their bullpen's WAR is almost as far ahead of the 2nd place team as our bullpen's TOTAL WAR.

.7 real hard, lol.

Perception would be that the bullpen is the difference. The Jays have given up 40 more runs than the Rays in the 7, 8, 9th innings. The Rays have scored 90 more runs than the Jays (and 40 more than the second best team). This comes 1 year after the Rays scored the 6th fewest in 2020.

So the question is Did the Rays target players who can handle the highest velocity for late inning situations (They got rid of Tsutsugo, sent down Brosseau who are among the worst against the fastball)? For 2 seasons now the Jays have been the best offence through 6 and bottom 5 after that. Improving the bench is a no brainer for next year but should they make lateral moves to address the velocity issues? Especially if they lose a great fastball hitter like Semien.

The other question is have the Rays made an approach change? I am not saying the Jays should copy everything the Rays do...but the Jays should copy everything the Rays do.

Wander Franco has an active 28-game on-base streak over which he's slashing 312/380/523 with a 152 wRC+, 8% walk rate, and 11% k-rate. He's going to join the Soto/Vlad/Acuna/Tatis tier next season.

He's got the swag too, I'm going to enjoy watching him play. Actually we have a lot of must win games coming against them soon.

Man all of those guys do. I don't think the game has ever had so many marketable young superstars.

Next close is like the Miggy/Pujols/Griffey Jr and A-Rod era. They're going to be around for so long too, you can probably add Eloy and Robert from the Chisox.

Any chance you’re on Jim’s payroll?

J-Rod should be up next season.

I'm going to enjoy having Soto, Franco, and J-Rod on the BORED franchise.

Yea, but MLB will find a way to screw it up. Like teams not playing on Sundays, like today, or Fridays, or two off days in a row. Dumb ass blackout and social media sharing rules, the whole no DH thing this year, etc, etc.
