I understand this guy's point to an extent, but hold your f***ing horses man, it's mid-May for one, and Vladito wasn't mentioned once in this piece? Take a look at fWAR pal...

Vlad's almost half a Win better at this point. I get Ohtani comes with bells and whistles, but Vlad being omitted from this article is egregious.

Well, no... :P

He’s slugging better than Vladimir Guerrero Jr., except that when Guerrero isn’t hitting, he’s playing a decent first base, not hopping on the mound and tossing 99 mph heat past good hitters.

Is everyone excited that Kluber threw a no-hitter!?

IIRC... 6 no hitters against the Indians, M's and now Rangers right, two each? Ron Darling thinks there'll be 12 to 15 this year... WTF?

Its nuts, I can’t even remember a season where there were more than like 5 no hitters. We have 6 already and its still f***ing May.

Just saw the season Gausman is having. Damn, wish they pulled that off.

He's been amazing

I didn't want him at all...

Gausman is a force - but it also seems that the Giants are successfully bringing a ton of pitchers back from the dead.

They've made Gausman into a near ace.

Cueto

Sanchez

DeSclafani

Alex Wood

All of them are back having good seasons. Sanchez is somehow doing it while hardly breaking 90.

They're either just getting very luck right now, or their staff deserve a s*** ton of credit.

We're on pace for what 18-19 of them?

This is a fun one after the Mercedes/La Russa saga:

I think swinging 3-0 is dumb, but it's not something that should get you thrown at. I just think you're taking pressure off the pitcher swinging 3-0, unless it's keyholed and you crush it (which happened in the case in question...)

He was my top pitching target for the Jays going into last offseason. But then again I was also banging the drum for Ha-Seong Kim so you win some and you lose some.

Read last night, that it's 19. Smoltz said 8 and it's just variance, Darling delved into certain team constructions of there lineups as TTO, and said good luck to them, lol. Namely, the 3 teams that been no hit, Indians/M's and Rangers with two against each. Should be interesting.

Is Zaidi really going to make a 90 win team out of waiver claims, free agent bargain bin items and trade cast-offs?

It is truly incredible. I have never liked the Giants but you can't help but cheer for them at this point.

They even find a way to milk value out of their s***** old veterans getting paid way too much. Posey, Belt, Longoria, Cueto, and Crawford are all contributing if not starring.

Kim likely needs a bit to adapt, he doesn't look lost at the plate like Tsutsugo. I was in on the Gasman!

Uh I'd argue Kim looks much more concerning at the plate than Tsutsugo. The K/BB is much worse, the exit velos have not been impressive, and there hasn't been any power. At least Yoshi was roughly average in his short sample last season, he just can't play a position.

Ross Stripling is going to throw a no hitter this season. I'm calling it now.

Id settle for a no hit inning tbh.

Brian Snitker consistently refuses to go Matzek/Martin/Smith 7/8/9 and has lost multiple games because of it.

deGrom vs. Low-A hitters? Please 'send help'

https://www.mlb.com/news/jacob-degrom-makes-rehab-start

Jacob deGrom, out since May 11 with right side tightness, took another step in his recovery on Thursday as he made his first rehab start with Low-A St. Lucie.

deGrom threw 41 pitches in three innings of work against the Palm Beach Cardinals, allowing just one baserunner on an error and striking out eight of the 10 batters he faced.

According to the opponents' radar gun, deGrom touched 102 mph. The St. Louis affiliate had a little fun with that, too.
